Senses
If eyes could see a heart break,
if ears could hear the sound
of someone's hopes being built up,
then crashing to the ground,
if eyes could see high spirits fall,
if only ears could hear
the rushing river flowing
in the trail of a sad tear,
if ears could hear a mind scream,
if eyes could only see
the broken shards and remnants
of someone's shattered dreams,
if ears could hear unspoken words,
if eyes could see some proof
of just how much it hurts someone
to never know the truth,
and if man and world were perfect
as God intended them to be,
in our lives there's be no wondering;
if ears could hear and eyes could see.
