"My age is not even an issue to me." --Jonny Lang

Why did I create this site? There are many reasons, but the biggest is the Jonny Lang is one of the best musicians I've ever heard, and I listen to a lot of music. I think that he should get much more recognition then he does. Not to pick on Hanson or anything (actually I don't really care if I pick on them), but it seems like they get too much recognition, because they're so *young,* well Jonny is just as *young* and he plays ten times better then they could hope to. People don't say he plays well for his age--they just say "he can play [the guitar].

Where are all the webpages?

Another reason I wanted to make this site is because of the lack of good sites on the web about Jonny. When I looked him up on Yahoo! only about six sites showed up, and half of the links didn't even work! Not to insult my fellow Jonny site makers, but a lot of the Jonny Lang sites aren't that good, and when I mean not good I mean no info, the images don't work, and a lot of stuff is lifted from the official A&M site.

It's not just because he's cute

I was just reading Jonny's chat for Disney and all these people are like "I love Jonny, he's sooo cute." I just want to tell everyone that I like Jonny for his music, although I do think he's cute (who wouldn't?) that's not the reason I made this page. And to everyone who thinks they love him -how could you if you never meet him? Email me and explain this if you know.

"Minds and parachutes are a lot alike - the only way the function properly is when they're open"

Recently I attended a party that showed me a lot about the state of music these days, nothing is all that good, and that my musical tastes totally differ from other people my age (15 yrs.) I wanted to listen to Jonny Lang or the Barenaked Ladies or something good, and they wanted to listen to -for lack of a better word - junk, the only thing we could agree on is Third Eye Blind, and although I like them there's only so much I could take of it. I am I weird or are my friends totally unopen to other music? What's my point? It's to listen to other music that you wouldn't listen to normally, you might surprise yourself- I did, that's how I discovered Jonny Lang.

What other people have to say about Jonny Lang:

"Jonny Lang may be green, but he's still got the blues. Like Leann Rimes and Silverchair's Daniel Johns, Lang is a blonde, beautiful, precocious phenom whose music speaks louder than his birth certificate."--ROLLING STONE

"New face of the Blues. Don't be fooled by his peach-smooth face. Jonny Lang has the voice of a grizzled blues veteran with a 20-year marlboro habit--and guitar skills to match."--U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT

"If Jonny were just a guitar slinger, then he'd just be one of the really good young performers cropping up everywhere these days. But it is Jonny's vocals that separate him from the really good musicians and solidly places him in the ranks of "About to be Great." R&B artist Syl

"While Lang's fretwork on his debut album, LIE TO ME (A&M), is certainly mature beyond his years it is his voice that truly belies his age. Raspy and road-worn, it sounds more like the vehicle of a hard-bitten blues veteran than that of a fresh faced white neophyte."--GUITARWORLD

"The ripe, vibrant voice of contemporary blues singer and guitarist Lang is so compelling, itwould be an exceptional major-label debut even if he weren't only 16."--ENTERTAINMENTWEEKLY

"By not trying to sound like wither a guitar god or a Mississippi cotton-field laborer, Lang comes up with a pleasing blues-pop."--PEOPLE

"He plays so good, I want to break his fingers."--JIMMY THACKERY
