*Chapter 1* "MOM! Don't worry! I've got the list and you're sitting right here in the car!!" Carly Welks argued to her mother, Tracy Welks. "But Cathy--" she began. "Honey, leave her alone, OK?" said her dad, Patrick. "YThanks, dad!" "Ugh! I HATE it when she does that!" Cathy thought, getting out of the car, "she can't even let me go into Food Lion without having second thoughts!" Cathy entered the store with the money in her left hand and the list in her right.She grabbed a shopping cart and headed towards the bread aisle. Her parents and her were going on vacation and they had to get some food for the trip. 'White, check. Wheat, check. And I don't think she realizes that I'm eleven!' She thought, going back to her previous thoughts. Then she got: sodas, chips, crackers, a 20oz. Coca Cola for herself, and the newest issue of Entertainment Weekly. Then she paid for them, went outside, put the groceries in the truck, and slid into the back seat. When she got in, she realized her parents were arguing. "Mom, dad?" Cathy asked. "WHAT?" her mom shouted. "Call me crazy, but I think we can go now," she replied. "No, we can't, Cathy!" Why not??" she asked. "WE JUST CAN'T!!!!!!" "Ok, ok. I'm sorry!" Cathy then realized that today was gonna be a LONG day! *CHAPTER 2* Two days later, while she and her mom were packing up the car, Cathy realized they were packing WAY more than what they needed. "Mom," Cathy said, "why are we packing so much?" "What do you mean?" her mother asked. "I mean we're packing an awful lot of luggage for a 2 month trip!" "Honey, we're staying for more than 2 months." "WHAT?!" "Well, we're going to move Tulsa, OK" "Why?" "We have to. If we don't your dad will get fired." "Oh, ok. Well, I guess it won't be that bad." "What do you mean?" her mom asked. "Well......oh, nevermind." "What?" "Nothing." "What?" "Nothing." "WHAT!!??" "Ok, I'll tell you! Geez!" "Ok, then TELL ME!" "Ok, I was thinking," Cathy began, "I was thinking there HAD to be at LEAST ONE cute guy in the whole town of Tulsa!" The next thing they knew, Tracy and Cathy were laughing so hard, their sides hurt!
