I see those tears in your eyes
Sad tears, helpless hopeless tears
And all I can do is love you more.
I see the tears on your cheek
Quiet tears, proud painful tears
And I want to hold you in my arms.
I want to let you weep on me, to me
All the fears, troubles, frustrations you have.
I want to know, to feel your pain
And somehow, I don't know how, endure it with you.
It hurts me to see your tears
The injury, the shame sadness in your eyes
And all I want to do is make it all better.
With my touch, I wish all bad could be erased, all wrong undone
I wish past battles could be won, past mistakes corrected
I wish for understanding, sober contemplation, peace of mind
