How was it that we had never been with each other for more than about three days and we had such an understanding between us...how we could get along so well even when we were not agreeing...how we could speak so few words and say so very much to each other...how a very simple gesture could communicate so very much, perhaps even more than was ever intended.
I don't mind not being Us so much. I would love to be Us some more, but...it's sad to think that perhaps if we are Us too long we will grow to not love each other, and I don't want that to ever happen. I would rather not have you but love you than have you for a time and not love you. I am glad that it was possible for us to "break up" the way we did and continue to be the "Us" that we are now.
I think I could live with you. I enjoy living with you, being in your household, being connected with your life, sharing in domestic responsibilities with you, taking care of the tasks that are mine and knowing you'll keep up your end of the bargain. I would love to do that sometime if it ever worked out - share a home with you - but NOT marry you. Just have you as a roommate or housemate.
Do you understand? I know you do...why do I ask? ...Because I know that ONLY you understand...friends and family don't...but...you do, and I love that.
