That always seems to be the question, just where do I start?!! Writing this article poses the same question to me. But I have come to the conclusion that whoever is planning to adjust the valves, should have a fairly advanced mechanical aptitude. make a mess quickly so I strongly recommend doing one side at a time. You might even make yourself a cardboard or sheetmetal "wall" to stand between the rockers and yourself. This will aid in keeping the oil off the hot exhaust manifold holding the possibility of fire to a minimum. Also, it somehow seems to take all the fun out of wrenching if your shirt gets a healthy soaking of hot oil. What you are going to do next is manually turn the engine crankshaft.
