The Nez Perces chief talked about the trip from the Clearwater to the Snake River.  The Native Americans gave a farewell before the Corps set sail on the Snake River.  The river had swirling rapids.  One canoe hit a rock and sank.  As they made their way down the Snake River the Corps met many different Native Americans.
