MY SKYDIVE PICS
Hey there. Here's a few pictures from my FIRST Skydiving Experience.
And yes... It was very wild. Later.
Here's the Hastings(MI) Airport at 4,000 feet.
Okay. Let me paint you a picture.
First of all, you're 4,000 feet in the air, hanging from an airplane that's going about 70 mph.
The weather, as you can see, was kind of foggy.
But what you can't see from the picture is that it is about 40 degrees out on that wing.
You with me? Okay.
With all of that going on, I make the mistake of looking down.
Oh, by the way, I don't recommend doing this on your first jump.
This is why I don't recommend it. Look at my face. I almost crapped my pants.
Now it's time to let go.
Here's the arch that they teach you to do.
This evens out the wind flow around your body so you don't start doing flips and stuff.
Here's my chute opening. Not much of a freefall on your first jump.
It's still wild enough though. I promise.
This is just after my chute opens. Notice the nice tangle halfway up my cords.
I got to twist out of tangled lines on my first jump. Good Fun. Whew.
Here's what I saw when I let go of the wing.
When your chute opens, it's like you aren't even moving. It's the coolest feeling in the world.
You're floating calmly over the earth, and all you hear is the wind. It's also a rather nice view.
I actually landed on my feet. It was a very good thing. That ground comes up mighty fast though.
In this picture, I'm just stunned from the ride.
A Smile of Approval afterwards by me.
