Joey became The Misfits drummer in November of 1978 just before Bobby Steele became the guitarist. He was the drummer for both the "Horror Business" and "Night Of The Living Dead" sessions of '79. In December of '79, after the band's aborted tour of England with The Damned, he left the band for another band. After The Misfits, he was the drummer for The Whore Lords. He spent most of his life in New York and now lives in Florida. In December of 1993 and February of 1994, he joined Bobby Steele and The Undead to play some live Misfits cover songs.
