Devils Tower rises up 1,267 above the Belle Fourche River in northeast Wyoming. The walls of this monolith are almost vertical, which is why is it a popular climbing spot. The area around the tower is also interesting because the river has carved out the river bank to expose red rock. The view of the Black Hills from the Devils Tower vicinity is also breath taking.
