Daniel Boone National Forest is located in eastern Kentucky and covers over 697,000 acres. This forest is heavily forested with narrow valleys, cliffs, rivers, streams, lakes, and wildlife. The Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail cuts through this forest for 269 miles. There are plenty of opportunities for hiking, canoeing, camping, and wildlife viewing.
