Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park is located in the western corner of the U.P. of Michigan (part of this area is even in a different time zone!). Many peaks in this wilderness top 1,000 feet providing excellent views of Lake Superior and the surrounding mountains. There are plenty of hiking trails, wildlife, waterfalls, camping, and cabins available and easily accessible. Check out the wildlife information below or click on my trip reports and pictures for more information.
