Theodore Roosevelt National Park is located in the western part of North Dakota, just north of the town of Medora. These North Dakota badlands contain many geologic wonders including petrified trees and multi-colored rock formations. This park is split into two units, a North Unit and a South Unit. Both units offer wildlife, hiking trails, camping, and history. Theodore Roosevelt once lived in this area so be sure to check out his log home near the South Unit's Visitors Center. Check out the wildlife information below or look at my trip report and pictures.
