William
Clark was born in Caroline Country, Virginia in 1770.
In 1789 William entered the
Army. While serving a campaign against Native Americans in 1795,
there he met Meriwether Lewis.
Then Lewis asked Clark to go on the expedition. On the expedition
he made some great maps.
In 1828, because of his great map
making skills he helped to design Paducah, Kentucky.
