Bible Promises

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
~ Romans 12:12 ~

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your request to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts, and your minds in Christ Jesus.
~ Philippians 4:6-7 ~
Make the most of every opportunity.
Let your conversation be always full of grace,
seasoned with salt,
so that you may know how to answer everyone.
~ Colossians 4:5-6 ~
You created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
~ Pslam 139:13-14 ~
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and He will make your paths straight.
~ Proverbs 3:5-6 ~
By God's will I may come to you with joy
and together with you be refreshed.
~ Romans 15:32 ~
The Lord your God is with you,
He is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.
~ Zephaniah 3:17 ~
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.
Honor one another above yourselves.
~ Romans 12:10 ~
Though you have not seen Him,
you love Him;
and even though you do not see Him now,
you believe in Him and
are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,
for you are receiving the goal of your faith,
the salvation of your souls.
~ 1 Peter 1:8-9 ~
Encourage one another and build each other up,
just as in fact you are doing.
~ 1 Thessalonians 5:11 ~
Love is patient, love is kind,
and is not jealous;
love does not brag and is not arrogant,
does not act unbecomingly;
it does not seek its own,
is not provoked,
does not take into account a wrong suffered,
does not rejoice in unrighteousness,
but rejoices with the truth,
bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.
~ 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 ~
Thoughts

God has an awesome plan for us as we live on this Earth. How do I know? I see all the things that He has made - the world, the sky, the oceans, our friends, our families, and much, much more.

We are not alone. We have God's love all around us. He is working through so many different people in our lives - our friends and family, even our pets! Somehow, some people just know when to let us know that they love us. When you are having a not-so-good day, there always seems to be someone there to let us know that everything is going to be okay.

I had a rough day at school one day; I was in class from 8 a.m. to about 5 p.m., and nothing seemed to be going allright. So I decided to go back to dorm room and settle down a while. Well, when I got back, I checked my mail and in it was a letter from a good friend. He had written "just because", and the letter told me what a great friend I was and how glad he was that I was in his life. He was like my angel - he somehow knew that it would be a good time to send me a letter to brighten my day. God works in mysterious ways, and I was so happy that it was through this friend. :-)

I know that God has an infinite plan for us. We may not know what it is now, but we will find out soon. I truly believe that if you pray for His blessing, He will give you a glimpse of what is to come.

Relationships with the opposite sex are always tricky. When a breakup happens, you don't exactly know why it didn't work out. You question your faith, yourself, and most of all, God. This is totally normal, and I think that God allows these things to happen to make you a stronger person. Also, there is an underlying reason why these breakups happen. I believe that it means that God has someone out in the world who is more suitable than the person you just split up with.

I know that it is difficult to wait for the "one" to come along, but I have a way to help you along. I received this "love note" from a friend, and it has helped me immensely. You can read The Love Note From God here...
