I went with a very good friend to Presque Isle near Marquette Michigan. I hear heard about the albino deer but we were not fortunate enough to see any of them. We headed for Stoney Mills, also near Marquette, to hike up river.

We passed several waterfalls on our way up river. This was the third large water fall. All of them provide some photo opportunities for the waterfall enthusiast. I am posting this photo as a reminder of our hike - and that half the reason for stopping to take photos was the urgent need to rest when hiking with someone that has the legs and lungs of a mountain goat.

This was the same trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula as the one in which I spotted and photographed the Great Gray Owl at Whitefish Point.
