Enter the following codes as players names. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a beep.

Pause the game and press Down(2), Up(2), Right(2), Left(2).
Pause the game and press Square, Triangle, Square(2), Triangle, Square(2), Triangle, X.
Pause the game and press Square, X, Circle, Square, Triangle, X(4). Enter the code again to disable this mode.
Pause the game and press Circle, Triangle, Square, X, Circle, Triangle, Square, Cross.
Pause the game and press Left, Right, Square, Circle, Left, Right, Square, Circle.
Pause the game and press Square, Right(2), Down, Up, Down, Left, Down(2). If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a beep. Enter this code again to disable this mode.
While playing a game, press Square, Up, Down(2), Square, Circle(2), Triangle, X. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a beep. Then, enter one of the following codes:
Press Select + X.
Press Select + D-pad.
Press Select + L2 or Select + R2.
Press Select + Square.
Press X + Triangle + Circle + Square.
Complete the "Beginner", "Tricky", and "Difficult" groups, then an "Advanced" group of races will become available.
Start to accelerate just before the second beep. If timed correctly, you will begin the race with a turbo start and the phrase "turbo start" will appear.
