Lambs 2013--Australian Place Names

Rosemary started the lambing season off on May 8th with Sydney, a white singleton ewe lamb with moorit yuglet markings. Rosemary was first to lamb last year too.

Magnolia was next with twins, a moorit katmoget ewe, Gold Coast and black ram lamb, Botany Bay, born 5-10-13.

Caraway had singleton, Gladstone, a gray ram lamb the same day.

Cherry had singleton black ewe lamb, Adelaide, later that day as well.

And Calliope had her singleton moorit ewe, Canberra, on the tenth too.

Mimosa had her twin gray ewe, Kalgoorlie, and gray ram lamb, Melbourne, the next day, the 11th.

Then we had a short break before Loblolly had her twin white ewe, Brisbane, and ram lamb, Perth, on the 15th.

There was a long break while I waited to see what would happen with Roanoke and Coriander's groups. They mingled their groups early on, so as punishment the boys had to keep each other company while I sequestered their ewes for several weeks. They were then added to Wintergreen's group. Magnolia is the only one to lamb from the earlier breeding dates. Dresden started things back up with her twin lambs, white ewe with reversed HST pattern Alice Springs, and black ram lamb, Darwin, born 6-4-13.

Leda had her singleton black katmoget boy, Tasmania, the day after, the 5th.

Marjoram finished things up with her single white ewe lamb, Tamworth, on the 10th.

Oh, oh...not finished yet. Yearling ewe, Peppermint, surprised me with little black cutie, Nowra, on June 21. Guess I let Wintergreen out with the ewes a little too soon:-/
