Velvet is a gentle soul. She prefers a certain level of decorum in her household, and can subdue an overexuberant puppy with just a look. The boys suddenly think of something they should be doing in another room if she turns her austere gaze upon them. She is my most naturally obedient dog, I have never had to consciously train her. She is a half sister to Rory and is inbred on her sire, Am. Can. Ch. Tantera Dayspring Crescendo CD PT VC.

Velvet is OFA Good, thyroid normal, eyes normal and vWd 49%.

Velvet has a truly outstanding front assembly, her topline flows from neck to croup. She is not an enthusiastic show girl, but has won on her sound body. She finished quickly in Canada with BOB's from the classes and a Group 4. She has five American points and enough reserve wins to finish (always the bridesmaid).

Velvet has two Canadian champion sons, both are Best Puppy in Group winners (one has an American major) and a daughter with seven Canadian points (from a total of eight adult offspring). She comes from a producing line of bitches. Her dam and granddam are both ROMC's, (dams of five or more Canadian champion offspring). I hope that her legacy will continue on through her grandson, Peri.

I am sad to say that I lost Velvet to liver cancer in August 2000.
