Final Fantasy Tactics is NOTHING like any of the other Final Fantasy games. It is actually considered a strategy/RPG. The fighting sequences are very tedious and frustrating. After the first half-hour or so, you will want to throw your controller and the CD across the room (OK, maybe not everyone will, but that is how I felt).
I did find the story line somewhat interesting, even from the start. However, the fighting sequence just made me so frustrated, I had to quit.
I only recommend this game to those who enjoyed Sega's Shining Force or PlayStation's Vandal Hearts. Also, if you get frustrated easily, this game is totally not for you.
