Creamy Macaroni and Cheese
2 qts water
1 tsp salt
1 (8 oz) pkg elbow macaroni
4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (8 oz) carton sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tbs chopped onion
1 cup cheese crackers, crushed
Bring water and salt to a boil in large Dutch oven; stir in macaroni.
Return
to a rapid boil, and cook 8 to 10 minutes or until tender; drain. Rinse
with
cold water; drain. Combine macaroni and next 4 ingredients. Spoon into a
lightly greased 11- x 7- x 1-1/2-inch baking dish; sprinkle with crushed
crackers. Bake at 325 degrees F. for 30 to 35 minutes.
Yield: 6 to 8
servings.
