Night 11 and it's a rainy night at Koror. Gregg and Jenn huddle and cuddle to stay warm. They giggle and wiggle, too. Hehehe! Could this be a budding Survivor romance? There's no love lost between Tom and Willard. Tom gets mad when Willard shirks his night on fire-watch, and Tom must stay awake all night to keep the tribe's fire going. Things aren't much better with Ulong, as they return from Tribal Council. As if getting humiliated as losers wasn't bad enough, they get lost as they seek shelter from the storm in their cave. But finding it at night is impossible for this bunch of imbeciles. Try as the might, they head back in a fright, and at camp spend a long and wet night. Right???
Day 12 becomes the Longest Day for both tribes. After a horrible night, Ulong awakes, or more like stirs, and reviews their situation. The place is a mess, with everything, and everyone, soaking wet. Angie has pretty much had it. The constant losing and facing Tribal Council, the lack of food and sleep, and being either too hot or too cold and wet has broken her last straw. As they see more bad weather on the horizon, Ulong prepares for another kind of storm. Over Koror, Tom's frustration with Willard is also shared by Gregg. He, too, believes that Willard is not carrying his meager share of the work load. Gregg laments who nice it would be if they could think their ranks a touch.
Tree-mail arrives and both tribes gather for a Reward Challenge. It's another water event. Teammates pull on a block and tackle which is roped to a raft. The others are to get one player on the raft, first out to a point near a sunken Japanese vessel, where they are to retrieve a bottle of saki, then pulled back to the starting platform. First tribe with six bottles wins. The prize is a feast of stew and root beer, at Tribal Council! Both tribes must attend, winner 1st, followed by the loser tribe, and each vote one member off. The winning tribe may watch the loser's gab-session with Jeff, and pick up clues of that tribe's political structure.
Ulong begins the event with a slight lead. By their 2nd bottle, they are a half a length ahead of Koror. But then it is Ibrehem's turn for Ulong to dive for a bottle. He struggles with each of his three attempts at diving, then gives up. By this time, it is now Koror with a good lead in the challenge. Ulong fights with the rope, giving it their all, to make up for lost time. Their lucky break comes as Ian, Dolphin Boy, dives in at the wrong spot and fails to even see the ship wreck on his first attempt. With coaching from Tom, Ian dives again and gets bottle #5. Just behind him, Ulong is also fetching it's 5th bottle. It's now between Ian and Stephenie to see who can get their bottle and be brought back to the starting platform first. Ian win's by about a quarter length. Once again, Ulong tastes the agony of defeat.
Koror returns to camp giddy with victory. No thoughts about having to boot someone tonight. Who cares? They're going to eat stew and drink root beer! Cory begs his tribe mates not to gloat too much in front of Ulong, to show some class. Ian sings a ditty, possibly from sheet music left by Wanda, about the awful Ulong tribe. Speaking of which, their return to camp is less than cheery. Everyone is mad at Ibrehem, even him. But Ibrehem hopeful that his tribe will recognize all that he has done in prior challenges. Stephenie and Angie are determined to boot him. Ibrehem asks Bobby Jo to watch his back, and let him know what's going to happen. Back at Koror, an interesting twist may be forming. Willard is convinced he will be booted and confides in Cory. Cory can't stand Katie and would like to muster a vote against her, but she is part of the Tom-Ian-Gregg-Katie-Jenn alliance. But Gregg approaches Cory with a plan of his own. Gregg wants Cory and Janu to team up with Jenn and himself, after Willard and Caryn are gone, to boot Tom, Ian and Katie. They shall be the Final Four.
Tribal Council time for Koror. After doing the torch ceremony for the first time, the subject of relationships and leadership is aired. Gregg spells it all out to Jeff, and us. Tom & Ian, Cory and Janu, Willard and Caryn, plus Jenn and he are the two-somes, with Katie floating about in all the circles. Tom is clearly the leader during challenges, and his adopted son, Dolphin Boy Ian, a leader during routine camp life. Primarily during food gathering. Cory says he gets along with everyone. Willard admits that he is the weakest member of the tribe and suspects he will be booted. Gregg declares that tonight, trust will be tested. It's time to vote. Willard votes for Katie, the rest gang up and boot Mr. Willard. After Jeff snuffs out his torch, Willard turns to his tribe and tells them to remain strong, stick with the plan, and finish Ulong first. In the confession- al, Willard says he had a great time and regrets nothing.
Jeff has Koror take seats at the Jury Bench as Ulong strolls in next. They have brought their whole camp with them. Tools, blankets, everything. The dummies thought there would be a merge. Jeff tells them no merge tonight. He then gives Koror permission to feast on dinner in front of the humiliated Ulong tribe. As Koror digs in, Jeff focuses on Angie, first. She is visibly mad and depressed by the day's events. She's tired of losing. Stephenie chimes in about being sick of losing. Fingers are pointed at Ibrehem, who tries to remind them all of his many previous feats. In a twist, Koror must vote to give one member of Ulong immunity. Ibrehem is chosen. Koror is then told to leave and Ulong must now vote. As usual, there was no Plan B. Angie and Bobby Jo are tied with 2 votes each, a fifth going against James. Ibrehem, Stephenie, and James then cast a second ballot, this time unanimously booting Angie off. At her confessional, she is also proud of how well she did and vows the cherish the simple things in life.
SPOILERS: Ibrehem gets chewed out by the rest of Ulong after TC. A storm rips apart at Koror's camp. Janu seems especially depressed by the rugged lifestyle.
