Day 9 (yes, it really is Day 9) and there's no sign of an archeologist tent at Camp Nakum. There are signs of exhaustion. After the Immunity Challenge of Mayan court-ball, played in 114°F temperatures, the victors are worn out and drained. They lie about the camp doing nothing, except for swatting away mosquitoes. Judd is especially plagued by them. Nakum discuss how bad things must be over at Yaxha, since they obviously are suffering as much as they are from the elements, plus the sting of defeat. But at Yaxha, the gang is busy catching minnows using Lydia's fish-monger trap. They spend the morning at the beach catching a few juicy morsels. A rather large crocodile then swims near them, demonstrating the right way to fish. Yaxha gets nervous as the monster looms closer, but it just minds it's own busi- ness and devours a few fish.
Day 10 and time for Reward Challenge. With both tribes physically spent, Mark Burnett takes it easy on them. Jeff asks both tribes to vote for their tribemates in several categories, each vote having a reward/consequence. The 1st ballot question is for each tribe to vote for who needs nourishment the most. Jamie for Yaxha and Danni for Nakum are selected. Jeff gives them each an apple. The 2nd ballot is for who smells the worst. Gary for Yaxha and Bobby Jon for Nakum get the votes. Jeff reveals two shower stalls, each with soap and 5 gallons of clean water. Both men shower in front of everyone immediately. Jeff chides Margaret who has "shower-envy". The 3rd ballot is for which man and woman from each tribe most deserves a picnic at an ancient Mayan ruin? Judd and Margaret for Nakum, and Gary and Amy for Yaxha are elected. Jeff gives the foursome a big basket full of goodies and sends them on their way. Jeff then asks the remainder the last ballot question of the day, which tribe member has the most tribe-spirit? Brian is selected for Yaxha, Cindy for Nakum. Jeff tells each to go stand on their tribal mats. Jeff then tells the rest to drop their buffs!!! All the remain- ing Yaxha members are now members of Nakum tribe. Since Nakum had one additional player, they must select from a table of shells which conceal their new buffs. Brooke picks the shell containing a Nakum buff, so she gets to remain with them. The rest join Yaxha.
On top of a Mayan ruin, Gary, Amy, Judd and Margaret picnic away. They stuff themselves with chicken and cookies. Gary gets nervous as the con- versation turns towards his past career. Judd and Margaret have heard from Danni (a sport radio talkshow host), about Gary being an ex-NFL quarter- back. Amy listens as Gary again denies this. At Yaxha Beach, Brian and his new tribemates find a basket of goodies awaiting them. He shows them around and plays host, but is greatly concerned, as now the 4 ex-Nakumers will be able to pick off Gary, Amy and he. On the other hand, Yaxha now has Bobby Jon, Blake, Brandon, and Danni, making the tribes chances of win- ning challenges much better. Gary and Amy return and are shocked with the new twist. Danni directly questions Gary about his past. He keeps on deny- ing everything, but Amy is now getting very suspicious. Judd and Margaret return to find a divided Nakum. They, along with Cindy and Brooke, are evenly matched (vote-wise) against Jamie, Stephenie, Lydia and Rafe. Judd immediately bounds with Jamie and Steph, and they hatch a plan to boot off Brooke right away, to be followed by either Cindy or Margaret. Jamie and Stephenie convince Judd that they will take he and Lydia to the Final Four. Judd is happy. He has no love-loss for any of the old Nakum women.
Day 11 finds Yaxha realigning themselves. Amy is deeply worried about being part of a minority of 3 old-Yaxhans. Bobby Jon and Blake discuss staying true to an alliance with Danni and Brandon. Amy will be their first victim at Tribal Council. Amy is still nursing her injured ankle. It's time for the Immunity Challenge. Both tribes must first paddle their canoes out on the lake to retrieve three sacks of Mayan war clubs. Then return to shore to take turns throwing the clubs at a series of three large tiles, spaced at 30, 40 and 50 feet. A player can throw as many clubs as needed but each may only break one tile. First tribe to break all three wins. The race in canoes is dead-even, until Yaxha collides with Nakum's canoe in route to the 2nd sack of clubs. Nakum is forced off course and struggles to get back in the race. Yaxha builds a lead and gets all it's sacks first. They are a good 50+ yards ahead as Nakum gets their 3rd sack. But Nakum evens things up as Stephenie quickly dispatches their 1st tile. Judd then tries to go long and keeps missing. Danni scores for Yaxha putting them up by one. Judd shifts to throwing at the 40 ft tile and finally breaks it. It's all down to Jamie versus Brandon. Brandon connects and wins immunity for Yaxha!
On the way back to camp, Nakum starts politicking. The ex-Yaxha members wonder if they really can turn Judd their way? Otherwise the TC vote may be a 4-4 tie. Brooke, Cindy and Margaret also discuss Judd's loyalty. They hope he sticks with them and boot Lydia. Margaret finally gets Judd alone back at camp. She tries to convince him to stay true to old Nakum. That the ex-Yaxhans will use him to gain a majority and pick them all off. Next is Stephenie's turn to talk with Judd, to make sure he's on their side. When Brooke sees this, she comes over and sits beside Judd. The conversation goes silent.
At Tribal Council, Jeff let's Stephenie know that she is 1 for 7 in challenges so far this season, and 4 for 21 overall in Survivor. Steph hopes she isn't bad luck. Margaret raises Judd's pairing off with the Yaxhans. He retorts that he was just chillin', hanging out, being friendly as it were. Lydia tells Jeff she feels vulnerable tonight. Brooke is worried about not having the brute strength needed to win challenges. Judd tells all he has a connection with some of his new tribe. It's time to vote. Margaret, Brooke, and Cindy vote to boot Lydia. The ex-Yaxhans and Judd boot off Brooke. Jeff warns all about how shifting alliances makes one untrustworthy.
SPOILERS: Judd is on the defensive after returning from TC. Yaxha has a clash of cultures. Lydia gets wacky!
