Night 21 finds Jamie defending his behavior. He tells Rafe that Bobby Jon made him mad when BJ called him out as being classless white-trash. Rafe tries to be sympathetic, buts knows BJ was right. Bobby Jon excuses the confrontation to his competitive nature. Jamie is still sore, BJ hurt his feel- ings. The rest seem to side with BJ. Rafe is ready to change The Game.
Day 22, and the Xhakum tribe is still divided, on the surface, at 6 to 3. This being the case, Bobby Jon, Gary, and Danni all search in earnest for the hidden, secret immunity idol, placed somewhere in the jungle. Whoever finds this six-inch wonder will be safe. But the search is a short one as it's time for a Reward Challenge. Players will use a Mayan atlatl to assist in throwing a small spear. Each gets one throw, and the results will determine the pecking order for a food reward. Closest to the center mark wins the best meal, surf & turf with all the trimmings, plus a clue to find the idol. The rest get meals in descending quality. Judd is up first and goes downtown with his throw. He winds up in first place and wins. Jamie had earned the 4th place position, but gave it up for last as penance for his behavior the previous night. The remainder wins the following: Cindy gets chicken with veggies, Danni gets spaghetti with meat sauce, Stephenie gets a burger and a beer, Gary wins a slice of pizza, Rafe wins a ham and cheese sandwich, Bobby Jon gets one baked potato, Lydia, who should have been last, gets one small panfish (raw?) and a glass of water. Jamie, for his penance, gets a bowl of ramone nuts plus a glass of lake water which was boiled for health reasons. Judd sits in front of the rest at his own table. Jeff allows him to choose two others to join him. They may share their food and Judd may treat them with drinks from an open bar. BJ and Steph are his guests. This causes a reaction from the others, in particular Gary, who's Skeletor image plays on Judd's conscience. At one point, Judd openly tells Gary he can't stand being watched by him as he stuffs himself. For two hours the feast goes on, with Judd getting smashed. They stumble back to camp, where in Judd attempts a feat of strength worthy of a Festivus celebration, the moving of a 30 foot long hulk of timber. BJ and Gary try to help, but as Judd fails, they guide him back to the shelter.
Day 23 and Judd is blamed for pewking in the shelter. He claims that he had gotten up and did so in the jungle, but the camera does not lie. There in the corner is a stain of vomit. Judd later reveals to Stephenie the clue to finding the idol. It's puzzling to him, but Steph, who has a brain, quickly figures out that the idol has been placed above the ground in a tree. Judd decides to rope-a-dope the others and lies to them, telling the rest that the idol is on ground level.
Day 24 and alliances are questioned. Jamie wants Rafe to reaffirm his loyalty to him. Rafe does so, but tells Uncle Cameraman that he doesn't trust Jamie one bit. Jamie then talks with Gary about booting Bobby Jon. Gary says he'll go along. Jamie then lies to Steph, Judd, Rafe, Cindy, and Lydia, telling them that Gary intends to boot him. Jamie becomes obsessed with paranoia, driving the other ex-Nakumers crazy. Stephenie is worried that Jamie will cause more trouble. Tree mail reveals that the Immunity Chal- lenge will involve more balancing skill. The ex-Nakumers watch as Gary practices walking quickly along a narrow ledge of a Mayan temple. Jamie hatches a plan to boot Gary next.
The Immunity Challenge is a three-parter. In the first round, players must traverse a raised balance beam, stopping at two points to untie planks which will be needed for Round Two. Only the first four will advance. Stephenie finishes first, followed by Gary, Jamie, and Rafe. In Round Two, each uses their two planks to traverse a bridge of two ropes running above the ground. Stand on one plank while placing the other in front, advancing, then bringing the first around to the front. Steph and Rafe begin with a lead. Jamie then passes Rafe. Gary falls out and Steph drops one of her planks just before the finish. Jamie and Rafe advance to Round Three, crossing a two-line balance bridge. They inch their feet along one line while grasping to the upper-line. About halfway across, Rafe loses his balance and falls off. Jamie wins immunity.
Back at camp, Jamie talks to Stephenie about booting Gary. They see him as a bigger threat in challenges than Bobby Jon. Gary chats with Steph about who will be booted. She assures him that he is safe and that Bobby Jon is the target. Meanwhile, Jamie and Judd tell BJ that Gary is the target. Bobby Jon warns them that Stephenie is in reality their biggest threat to win- ning the grand prize. Later, Gary, feeling the heat, searches again for the idol. He notices Judd also searching, not on the ground, but looking up in the trees. Gary realizes that Judd lied and he, too, searches the trees.
At Tribal Council, Danni starts off discussing the numbers game, how the ex-Nakumers have a 6-3 advantage over the ex-Yaxhans. Rafe tells all that Xhakum is reeking with paranoia. The issues of trust and honesty are raised and explored. Judd tells all that he has yet to lie in The Game. Gary knows this is a lie. It's time to vote, but first, Jeff asks if anyone has found the secret idol? Gary stands up and hands it to Jeff. Both Gary and Jamie are safe with immunity. Gary casts his vote for Cindy, why I have no clue? Bobby Jon and Danni vote for Stephenie. The ex-Nakumers boot out BJ. Jeff makes it official that the lying has now begun, but warns them to beware as they will be lying to future Jury members.
SPOILERS: Jamie is really mad at Gary for finding the secret idol. The best reward yet is up for grabs. Lydia is put on the spot when her loyalty is tested.
