Night 24 and Gary is the star of the evening. He tells all where he found the secret immunity idol, which saved his bacon. Jamie then begins another session of 'My Twisted Mind'. He brings up Gary's vote against Cindy, and how Gary lied to him swearing he would vote with the rest to boot Bobby Jon. Ummm, Jamie, didn't you tell everyone Gary was plotting to vote YOU off??? Jamie's paranoid mind is so full of conspiracies and plots, he cannot keep them all straight. Judd shakes his head as Jamie rants away. Judd is starting to believe that Jamie has gone totally insane, and that his methods are … unsound.
Day 25 and we swing right into a Reward Challenge. Xhakum is divided into two teams of two men and two women each. Each are paired by gender and tethered. The object is overcome a muddy obstacle course and retrieve pots of maize. Returning to the starting mat, the pair pour the maize into a larger pot. First team to fill their big pot to the brim wins a helicopter ride to a nice resort. Awaiting them there will be shower, beds, and plenty of Folger's coffee. With the product endorsement aside, the challenge begins. The two teams are Jamie, Rafe, Lydia, and Cindy versus Gary, Judd, Stephenie, and Danni. Jamie and Rafe give their team an early lead, but Lydia gets bogged in the mud and costs her team the event. Steph and Danni are superb ath- letes and build a huge lead. As they lose the event, Jamie yells at Lydia and Cindy to keep playing. Cindy sees no point and Jamie has a 'hissy-fit' over them being quitters. The winners are immediately spirited away to their day and night of fun.
The helicopter ride is scenic, and the winners arrive at a well-healed house, complete with swimming pool and pool-side shower. They clean off the mud from the challenge and dive into the pool. All have a good time and do some bounding. Stephenie finds that Danni and her are very alike and enjoy each other's company. Back at Xhakum, Lydia tries to cheer the losers up, but it doesn't look like Jamie is in the mood. He wants to discuss strategy with Rafe. Rafe nodds as Jamie unfolds his latest plan to have them and Judd form the Final Three. He wants Rafe to swear an oath of loyalty to him. Back at the resort, Gary feels renewed and comfortable enough to discuss stra- tegy with Stephenie and Judd. Jamie is clearly Gary's target.
Day 26 and the winners awake to the smells of Folger's coffee. In this pro- duct endorsement segment, we learn that Folger's now has six flavors to choose from. Imagine that! Will wonders never cease? Videotapes from families are brought out and they enjoy a touch of home. They return to Xhakum with a basket of Folger's instant coffee packets. Cindy is very ex- cited, as she is a serious coffee drinker. We are not told if Folger's is her regular choice, however. Judd is worried about Jamie and immediately they pair off to discuss what transpired while away. Judd tries to assure Jamie that there was no game-talk.
Day 27 and it's time for the Immunity Challenge. Each are hooked to their own length of rope which is weaved through an obstacle course. The first four who navigate their way through the course without un-hooking move on to an elimination round through a 3-D obstacle course. The winner of Phase Two gets the immunity necklace. Cindy, Rafe, Jamie, Stephenie, and Gary make it a real event. Judd gets himself tangled right at the start. Lydia and Danni have problems and get far behind. Rafe finishes first in Round One, followed by Stephenie, Jamie, and Cindy, who edges out Gary. The course for Round Two is like a set of monkey-bars, with the four ropes wrapped and weaved throughout. Cindy makes a strong effort from the beginning to win this one. Steph is close behind, but Rafe finishes first and wins the immunity necklace.
Back at camp, Rafe now feels he has power and is in control for the moment. Gary feels vulnerable and keeps pitching to Steph and Judd about booting Jamie. Jamie tells Cindy that Steph is Rafe's lapdog. He asks her if she thinks they should boot Steph out tonight? Cindy prefers they stick with the plan to boot Gary. Cindy thinks Jamie has gone totally insane and that his methods are … unsound. Jamie then forces Rafe to discuss more strategy with him. Rafe is getting tired of Jamie, who he thinks has gone totally in- sane and that his methods are … unsound. Rafe talks with Lydia about booting Jamie tonight. Stephenie joins in and agrees readily to Rafe's plan. She, too, thinks Jamie has gone totally insane and the his methods are … unsound. However, Steph does warn them that Gary is the real threat to them all.
At Tribal Council, they begin with discussing the bonding which took place during the reward. Danni and Stephenie trade compliments and positive observations. Jamie butts in that he loves everyone on the current Xhakum tribe. Judd agrees that he likes everyone and tonight will be the hardest vote as he has much respect for Gary, err-umm, somebody. Gary catches Judd's error, but is magnanimous about it all. Gary stay's positive about his experiences to date. It's time to vote. Jamie and Judd vote to boot off Gary, but the rest vote off Jamie. They have terminated him … with extreme pre- judice. Judd is stunned by the vote, as he was left out of the power shift. As Jeff Probst extinguishes Jamie's torch, Jamie turns to face his assassins and compliments them all. "BLINDSIDED … NICE!!! That's how you vote somebody out!"
SPOILERS: Judd is upset with the others for not trusting him in their deci- sion to boot Jamie. Emotions run high now that the power is up for grabs. Stephenie says she will not show her hand to anyone.
