After the usual recap for the previous 36 days, and the completion of the tie- breaker, we pick up the action. Danielle is obviously happy with winning the tie-breaker, as is Terry, since he thinks they have an alliance. Aras goes straight to bed.
Day 37 and Terry finally shows Aras the Hidden Immunity Idol. Danielle thinks that Terry and Aras are still competing with each other on who is the better man. This time it's fishing. Terry catches more fish but Aras catches bigger ones. A Reward Challenge heightens the rivalry. Players must scale an inclined wall using four pegs. Each peg has a unique shape on end. Once scaling the wall, the first to insert all pegs in the right holes wins a 'power meal' and a cot with bedding. Aras leads this event with Terry right behind. At a crucial moment, Aras slips while climbing allowing Terry to catch up. Terry wins by a narrow margin.
Back at camp, Aras and Danielle feast on fish. Terry returns with his bedding, and describes the 'power-meal'. Basically a healthy mix of chicken, veggies, etc. Aras is more jealous of the cot.
Day 38 and tree-mail announces the day's activities. The standard 'Fallen Comrades' bit, involving gathering the torches of each past player and placing them on the big skull on Exile Island. The whole lot is then to be set on fire. We get the usual flashbacks and commentary of past players during this.
The Final Immunity Challenge involves balancing on floating platforms. Every fifteen minutes, players get one minute to move to the next, progressively smaller platform. The fourth and last platform will be open-ended with no time limit. Everyone handles the first platform OK. Likewise the second. But the third platform is rough. Both Aras and Terry have trouble getting on it. Terry especially, and barely gets balanced in time, then loses within seconds. Aras sees that Danielle is holding steady, they exchange head-nods and Aras then takes a dive, giving Danielle the win.
Back at camp, Danielle is wooed by both Terry and Aras. She and Terry go for water, giving him an opportunity to convince her that he would be the better choice to take to the Final Two. After all, he's not a Casayan. Danielle back- peddles on whatever alliance they had. Things don't look good for Terry, so he goes off for a swim. Aras now pounces on Danielle, threatening her that if she doesn't take him, she won't get votes from either he or Cirie.
At Tribal Council, Danielle is happy she won the last Immunity Challenge, but says that deciding who to take is tough. Terry is frustrated but the situation. Aras continues to work Danielle as being the better choice. The brow-beating works and Danielle chooses to take Aras to the Final Two.
