Day 19 at Camp Aitu finds Jonathan discussing how solid the alliance is with his mates, Candice, Yul, Becky and Sundra. He's certain that should they face Tribal Council again that they will boot Ozzy as planned. Candice is al- ready planning re-aligning herself with Adam of Raro once The Merge takes place. She privately chats with Jonathan about whether the current Aitu Six is the right way to go if a merge should happen immediately. Jonathan assures her that should The Merge come now, he will remain loyal to her to the Final Two. Candice tells Uncle Cameraman she thinks it's time for Jon to go. At Raro, they, too, are discussing The Merge. Brad announces that it's every man for himself. The rest now view him as untrustworthy.
Day 20 and it's time for the Reward Challenge. But first, Jeff offers everyone ten seconds to decide if they want to switch tribes! Candice bails out and is followed by Jonathan at the last second. Yul is disappointed with their defection, but Ozzy isn't surprised. The challenge consists of two members from each tribe squeezing themselves into a barrel. Two others then roll the barrel through an obstacle course towards the beach. Then swim off shore with the barrel to retrieve four submerged flags. Dragging the barrel back to shore, then put the flags on a mast, dig up an axe, and cut a line which raises the mast. The prize is a yummy breakfast plus letters from home. The contest is lop-sided as Aitu gets an early lead and then builds upon it, thanks to Raro's barrel getting caught in a current off shore. Raro has no chance and Aitu skates to an easy victory. Aitu selects Candice to be sent to Exile Island as punishment for her mutiny.
Coffee, OJ, and pastries await the Aitu Four. Yul tells them how proud he is of all of them. They kicked butt despite the mutiny. The feast begins and soon they read the letters. A collection of pictures is included, many from their childhood. All get emotional. Sundra starts crying while reading a letter from her son. Ozzy breaks down and gets a group hug. The mutiny has solidified Aitu making them stronger and more determined.
Candice broods on Exile Island. She knows Aitu are mad at her. She's also surprised that Jonathan defected with her. At Raro, Jonathan tries rebond- ing with the gang. Some aren't buying it. Nate thinks Jon is crazy and figures he'll be booted off at the next vote.
Day 21 and Jonathan is up early being the camp bitch. LOL! He gets the fire going and does other chores to prove his usefulness. Jonathan then chats up Adam, letting him know that Candice and he had discussed re- aligning themselves with Adam and Pavrati after The Merge. Adam thinks it's nice to have someone around who WANTS to be part of his team.
The Immunity Challenge this week involves each tribe having four members in a glass-bottom boat. They are to paddle out and search for underwater targets, then drop a cannonball on each. When the three targets get hit, each releases a pair of buoys containing letters. The first tribe to get back to the beach and solve the word puzzle with the letters wins. Aitu starts off with an early lead but Raro scores first and gets two buoys. Raro then gets a second set as Aitu gets their first. But then Raro has trouble lining up the last target while Yul figures out a better way. Instead of using the glass bottom of the boat to sight the target, he looks right down the hole used to drop the cannonballs. Aitu quickly gets their second and third sets of buoys and wins easily.
Raro returns to camp after losing their second in a row. Candice is wel- comed back by Adam and Pavrati. She and Pavrati discuss alliances. Nate and Adam talk about who to boot next. Adam suggests it may be better to keep Jonathan around and boot Brad next. Nate questions this but seems to agree that dumping Brad now may be the smart play. Nate chats up Brad to convince him that Jonathan is a goner and that Brad shouldn't worry. Candice and Adam share a private moment where she tells him how Jonathan discussed booting Adam early post-Merge. This pisses off Adam who now reconsiders tonight's plan.
At Tribal Council, Adam thinks that Aitu is really mad at Candice. Jenny's not worried about Aitu's sudden winning streak. Candice tells all that the reason she switched is because Raro is a more fun tribe. Jonathan ques- tions his mutiny decision and knows he may be going home tonight. Nate says that he's adapting to the new members. Brad admits that he doesn't trust anyone on his tribe anymore. This provokes some glares and glances. It's time to vote. Brad votes to boot Jonathan. The rest boot Brad. Jeff announces that Brad is the first member of The Jury! He also warns that The Game is full of more surprises!
SPOILERS: Adam and Candice reconnect and get cozy again. Jeff tells everyone that the bottle he holds contains information that may change The Game!
