Day 37 (I'm skipping the usual season recap, borrrrring) finds Adam chillin' out by himself. The rest of the gang works on breakfast while he's slacking off. They comment that Adam has given up. Sundra wonders how the Aitu Four will resolve things once they compete against each other? Becky hopes for a chance to get Ozzy out. Ozzy knows he must keep winning im- munities to stay in The Game. Tree mail arrives announcing the Super Immunity Challenge!
Eight obstacle paths branch out like a spider's web. A rope-net covers all. Eight stations hold bags of puzzle pieces. Players must work their way over rope bridges, balance beams, etc, to get the bags one at a time. Only after all eight bags are retrieved may players begin assembling their puzzles, which Jeff informs them is the most difficult one yet. The end result is a compass rose and once completed, it will spring release a flag for the winner. This event has Ozzy's name all over it, but due to a fall in the first station, Ozzy must restart. Yul leads the pack for quite a while. Ozzy does catch up and pass Yul when Yul falls getting his seventh bag. Overall, it's the closest challenge this season as everyone does get their eight bags and begins working on the puzzle. Ozzy, Adam and Yul are battling it out, but in the end, Ozzy comes through again and wins immunity!
Back at camp, Ozzy is very happy. So is Yul. Both know they've made it to the Final Four. Adam tries to stir up trouble. He tries to convince Ozzy, then Sundra, to vote against Yul to force out the secret immunity idol. Adam knows he'll get booted anyway, since Yul and Becky will vote against him, but Adam wants one last shot at creating a rift.
At Tribal Council, Ozzy tells all that nothing has changed Adam's fate for tonight. Adam knows he's toast. Becky causes a small flurry when she says that the Aitu Four LET Ozzy win the challenges. Next challenge they'll all try harder to win. Ozzy says he knows he must keep on winning. Adam observes that Ozzy is the braun of the Aitu Four, Yul is the brains, and that Becky and Sundra are just slackers, riding Yul's coattails. Adam adds that if Yul wins the next IC, he can give the idol to Becky and save her. Yul coun- ters that their alliance is strong and loyal. It's time to vote. Adam votes for booting Yul, the rest boot Adam. Jeff warns the Aitu Four that now they have no choice but to turn on each other.
Night 37 and the Aitu Four celebrate their victory. They survived the betray- al of Candice and Jonathan. They survived The Merge when outnumbered. Yul thinks it's a great morality play showing how minorities stick together.
Day 38 and Ozzy watches the sun rise. He intends to enjoy the dawn by himself. Tree-mail arrives with instructions. The players are to paddle to a nearby island and ascend up a trail to a hilltop. Along the way, they are to gather up the torches of their fallen comrades and then perform a ritual fire ceremony on the hilltop and burn the torches. From there, they then proceed to the final challenge. Final Challenge??? There are four players left! All wonder about this. As the make their way through the last Rite of Passage, we get flashbacks of each former player. Yyyyyyyawwwwn! The only moment of interest to me was when Ozzy thanked Jonathan for helping them survive The Merge. Indeed he did help! The torches are burned and on to the challenge!
For the Final Immunity Challenge, they must endure standing offshore on a raised perch. Each perch is segmented and every fifteen minutes, a seg- ment is removed. Each perch is also based on the size of each individual's feet, so none have an advantage. The last portion of the perch is about half the size of a postcard. Jeff also now informs them that this season's last twist is that the Final Three will face The Jury instead of the usual Final Two. All make it through the first fifteen minutes okay. A section is re- moved and another fifteen minutes go by. A second section is removed and all make it till the next section is removed. Becky then loses her balance and falls off. At the one hour mark, the last piece is removed. Ozzy has some trouble but recovers. Yul then falls off after over 90 minutes. It's down to Ozzy versus Sundra. After two and a half hours, Sundra wobbles and falls off. Ozzy wins the last immunity challenge!
Back at camp, Ozzy and Yul are happy once again. This time, happy to be going to the Final Three. Ozzy is surprised that Sundra lasted as long as she did. He and Yul discuss who to boot. Ozzy acknowledges that Yul has a bond with Becky. Yul admits that he cannot vote against her. Ozzy sug- gests that they force a tie-breaker and let Sundra and Becky battle it out between themselves. Yul tells this to Becky, but adds that he's willing to give her the secret idol to save her. Ozzy tells Sundra the plan, but she also wonders if Yul will save Becky?
At Tribal Council, Jeff informs The Jury of the new twist. When the issue of Yul's immunity idol is raised, Sundra is comfortable with her vote last night. She's glad she didn't go along with Adam's plot. Ozzy explains the tie- breaker plan. Jeff asks Yul if he'd use the diol to save anyone? Yul answers that his choice is made. Sundra does suspect that Yul may have given it to Becky. It's time to vote. Ozzy and Sundra vote to boot Becky. Becky and Yul vote to boot Sundra. Yul did NOT give Becky the idol. The two ladies battle it out trying to build a fire. Neither are having much luck starting one with a knife and flint. An hour goes by. The Jury and Ozzy and Yul are nodding off, bored silly. Jeff then gives each lady two boxes of matches. LOL! He adds that it's pretty sad, after 38 days both should know how it make a fire. Sundra still has trouble and actually runs out of matches about 90 minutes into the tie-breaker. Becky gets her's going and wins! UGH!!!!!
