Day 39!!! The Final Three enjoy a coconut breakfast. All are happy and now looking forward to going home. Becky is glad she didn't accept Yul's offer of the secret immunity idol. Two native women canoe over to the beach and deliver a feast of food and drink. Ozzy and Yul greet them and call out to Becky, who is on another beach contemplating. The boys start in on the food without her. Ozzy comments on how Becky and Sundra's fire making skill suck. Yul hopes The Jury doesn't hold any grudges against him. LOL! Ozzy thinks he acquitted himself well. Becky finally does join them for the last feast.
Darkness falls and it's time for the Final Tribal Council. After the Final Three and The Jury seat themselves, Jeff scolds Ozzy to take off the immunity necklace. It will do him no good now. The Final Three begin their opening statements. Yul tells The Jury that he played The Game less as an individual and more as a team leader. All the decisions he made were for the benefit of the team …, not himself. Throughout it all, he remained loyal to his team. Becky announces that she in fact did play The Game, socially, relying on alliances and such, as opposed to skills or strength. Ozzy explains to The Jury how he saw himself as an underdog. He played hard to overcome his adversaries. He worked hard to support his tribe. He provided food and victories. Ozzy is like a river to his tribe. He gave his all and was always proper in words and deeds. Heh-heh-heh! Well, that's about what they DID say!!!
And then The Jury finally gets to talk. Nate begins by congratulating the finalists. He observes Yul as a Godfather, the smart puppetmaster. Ozzy is not unlike a warrior. Nate asks Ozzy if he did have a strategy beyond athleticism? Ozzy recounts he orchestrated the booting of Billy. He goes on to admit that providing food is a strategy. Nate moves on to Becky and wants to know what more than riding Yul's coattails did she do to deserve being a finalist? Becky retorts that Yul was not making any decisions with- out her say. She was in on every move. Becky adds that she could have accepted Yul's offer of the immunity idol last TC, but instead chose to earn her place on her own.
Jenny takes a swing at Yul, wanting to know which is more important? Strategy or physical play? Yul answers that his strategy of letting Ozzy win immunity challenges helped keep the target off his own back.
Parvati questions Becky for more details about the offer from Yul she turned down. Becky responds that she didn't want to appear as being sneaky.
Rebecca asks Ozzy and Yul why they think they deserve to win? Yul says that he wanted a minority to win. He promises to be a spokesman for mi- nority achievement. Ozzy says he has the same purpose and adds that he wanted to eliminate stereotypes about Hispanics.
Adam, ever the orator, stands and declares that the Aitu Four were BORING! Hoping for one more chance to create controversy, Adam asks Ozzy to trash talk Yul and Becky. Ozzy obliges by commenting on how Yul did not play as hard as he could have, and how Becky really did ride Yul's coattails.
Candice is tired of the warm and fuzzy speeches. She wants only a Yes or a No to her questions. She proceeds to ask Yul if he is shamelessly working The Jury? Yul answers, "Yes". He then starts to add, but Candice cuts him off and says it may penalize him when she makes her decision.
Brad asks Ozzy what is the most challenging experience he faced. Ozzy's answer has little to do with The game, and instead relates on his father was never there for him. Ozzy is brought to tears.
Sundra wants to know what each has discovered during the course of The Game? Ozzy has discovered "pure love". Some combination of mind, body, soul and Nature. Becky is more practical. She discovered that she can in- deed with without a clock or a schedule. Yul has found new depths in his self-confidence. He believes in himself.
Finally, it's Jonathan's turn to have at it. He congratulates them all. Jon then works on Yul, calling him brilliant and polite. Yul should be a politician. Jon then poses that if Yul were running for office, how can he "half-lie" and still have integrity? Yul says that he did have integrity, he remained loyal to those he needed to remain by his actions. Jonathan then turns to Ozzy and expresses that he found him to be arrogant and acting entitled. Jon asks how is giving him a million dollars going to make him a better person? Ozzy's answer is simple, he'll go back to school.
No closing remarks this season, just straight into the voting. Jeff then collects the ballots, says his goodbyes and heads off into the jungle. It's a short walk through the jungle to the live stage at CBS Television City in Hollywood, California! The ballots are counted. Yul 5, Ozzy 4. YUL WINS!!! There's no information on who voted for who other than Jonathan did vote for Yul and Parvati voted for Ozzy.
The reunion show was unremarkable. We did learn that upon Yul's return to civilization, he bought out the edible inventory of a Costco. Adam admit- ed to voting for Yul. He had apparently made a deal with Yul that if Jonathan went before candice and he, Adam would vote in Yul's favor. Ozzy disagrees that it was only Yul's choice to do so, they all decided to boot Jonathan. Yul defended his game-play, he was not a puppet master but a consensus builder. On the romance side, we learned that Adam and Candice are just friends, Billy's declaration of love for Candice was just an act when booted. There was nothing going on between Yul and Becky. Yul spoiled Parvati's moonlight flirting with Ozzy in the hot tub.
Next season's Survivor will be in the Fiji Islands. 19 players divided into 2 tribes, one rich and one poor. Contestants range from a Harvard lawyer to a former homeless. Two secret immunity idols will be hidden on the Exile Island. One contestant's actions will shock America! Oh boy, I can't wait!!!
