It's Day 39, the Last Day! Amanda and Parvati are happy they made it to the Final Two. They go for tree mail and find a fabulous meal! LOL! Both get retrospective and are proud of how they played The Game. Amanda feels worn out after spending 78 of the last 180 days playing "SURVIVOR". She feels she was more true to her alliances. Parvati thinks she played a great game. She knows she was aggressive. They burn the shelter and share one last 'stir' of their witches' pot. Amanda is suspicious that Parvati may try to throw her under the bus!
It's time for the Final Tribal Council. Jeff makes his usual speech about how the power has now shifted to The Jury. Amanda goes first, telling The Jury that she played a loyal game and fought hard when she had to. Parvati admits that she played a flirty game, but in the end was more agres- sive and made bolder power moves. The Jury then gets to speak.
Eliza begins telling them both they played a great strategic game and is still undecided whom she'll vote for. She then trashes Parvati for being deceitful and mean spirited. Eliza then tells Amanda she thinks she is too superficial.
Jason asks Amanda if she would have told Ozzy he was being booted had she known of the plot? Amanda answers that she would have. Jason then asks Parvati what are her redeeming qualities? Parvati answers that she was always loyal to Amanda and Cirie. She adds that she was nice to Gloria, the chicken, too! LOL!
Alexis asks Parvati what would make her a better role model than Amanda? Parvati explains that she was more independent and made bolder strategy moves. Alexis then tells Amanda she thinks her crying at the previous Tribal Council was fake. Amanda defends herself that she was genuinely emotionally upset.
Natalie asks Parvati about her flirting with everyone, including with her! How does this translate to her real life? Parvati admits to being flirty in her real life as well as during The Game. Natalie then asks Amanda if her confused dizziness was just an act? Amanda argues back that she does not consider herself dizzy.
Erik tells Amanda that up until a few days ago, he would have voted for her, but now has doubts about their friendship. She apologizes and says she never intended to hurt his feelings.
James is first asked by Jeff how his finger is doing. James says he's doing well. He then tells Amanda she has his vote in the bag. James then attacks Parvati and wants explanations. Parvati answers, "Ha-ha, got you, sucker!" She adds that she had no chance of winning unless she did betray him. She wanted to be in control.
Cirie asks Amanda why does Parvati deserve a shot at the money more than her? Amanda answers that Parvati played a bolder, more powerful game. Cirie asks Parvati why she deserves to be in the Final Two instead of her? Parvati answers that Cirie flew too much under the radar and that she couldn't compete against her with The Jury.
Finally, Ozzy has his say. He begins trashing Parvati. She ruined their friendship for the sake of money. He has no respect for her at all. But what he is most upset about is not the money, but losing 14 more days with Amanda on the island. He then tells Amanda that he has fallen in love with her! Awww! Amanda smiles!
It's time for The Jury to vote. We are shown Ozzy and Erik voting for Amanda to win. We also see Alexis and Natalie voting for Parvati to win. Eliza takes a long time deciding. After she votes, Jeff collects the ballots. He heads off the set and we next see him enter the stage at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City. He counts the votes. Amanda gets three, probably James was the third. The rest went with Parvati. She is the winner of "Survivor: Micronesia"!!!
The post-season re-union show was better than most. Parvati said that her strategy was to fly under the radar as long as possible. But once The Switch happened, she began making moves and allied herself with Alexis and Natalie. After The Merge, she knew she was in good shape with Cirie and Amanda as well. Jeff asks Amanda how it feels finishing second again? She said that she feels frustrated. She even has a hard time trusting folks back in the real world, now. Amanda adds that it's impossible to guess how The Jury votes.
As for the rest of the show, the more fun items are that Ozzy and Amanda are still dating. James has officially passed his crown as dumbest player to Erik. Jonathan's knee is getting better. James is still on antibiotics. The top three vote-getters for the Sprint Fan Favorite contest were Amanda, Ozzy, and James, who won for the second time and earned him- self an extra $100,000!
The next season will return to Africa. Eighteen Americans will struggle in the equatorial country of Gabon along the Atlantic coast.
This season was a fun one. While I am disappointed that Amanda did not win, I can understand The Jury's decision. Parvati did play a sharp and decisive game. So kudos to her. I also want to thank SirLinksalot.Net, again, for their help. For those of you who want to read my blog, please use the link above and to the left. I am following Bravo TV's "Top Chef", there, as well as the greatest reality game show, the U.S. Presidential campaign. Otherwise, I hope you all have a great summer and see you again in the fall, when "Survivor: Gabon" begins.
