Night 3 at Jalapao tribe finds Sandy happy to be still around. She dodged a bullet at Tribal Council thanks to Carolina's motor-mouth. While the rest get a fire started, thanks to the flint Jeff gave them, Sandy thanks everyone for letting her stick around a few more days. Little does she realize that she has only postponed her predicament. She's still on the boot-list and is next in line to go.
Day 4 and Jalapao has fruit for breakfast. But they need protein so a group decide to put termites on their menu. They find some rotting tree stumps and feast on termites and grubs. Over at Timbira tribe, they have some trouble starting their morning fire. Breakfast is put on hold. Sierra shares her info about the hidden immunity idol with Brendan. He agrees to help her find it and the two start digging up the beach. The others wonder where they have gone? Debbie finds them and they come up with a story to explain their digging. Sierra and Brendan are building a fire pit for a late-night beach party. LOL!
Day 5 and we find Timbira tribe with a fire. Candace takes charge of cooking up some rice and beans. Coach thinks she should just cook rice as the beans require more cooking time. Candace doesn't need any back-seat chefs telling her what to do! They bicker and Coach relents, but the damage is done. Over at Jalapao, Taj talks about her husband, who happens to be none other than Eddie George, ex-football hero. Some wonder why she is there, since she ought to have plenty of money already. HMMM?
It's time for a combined Reward/Immunity Challenge. Water basketball. Each tribe fields three players per round to chase down a ball and try to score a basket while the other tribe opposes them. First tribe to score three points wins immunity, fishing tackle, and gets to send someone from the other tribe to Exile Island. It begins to rain hard as the competition begins. At first, Timbira tribe looks strong, scoring two baskets in a row. Then the momentum shifts and Jalapao scores two. They score the winning point and win their first immunity. They select Brendan to be exiled from Timbira, but Jeff had mentioned a twist. Brendan gets to pick one from Jalapao to go with him to exile. He chooses Taj.
Jalapao tribe return to camp victorious. Thanks to JT, a good ole Southern boy, they start fishing. He and Stephen bond during their first, failed attempt at fishing. Brendan and Taj arrive at Exile Whatever (it's not an island, more like a sand dune) and find two jars that each must pick. Taj's jar is empty. Brendan gets a clue plus a note telling him he may elect to switch tribes. He does not. Taj tags along as he searches for the idol, but she figures out that the clue says the idol(s) are at the tribal camps. They agree to work together to find their respective idols.
At Timbira tribe, they sulk after being defeated. Candace leads the drum beat about Coach being a lousy asset for challenges. Debbie tells him what she is saying which puts his gears in motion to boot Candace instead of Sierra.
Day 6 and Brendan returns to Timbira. He lies and tells them that Taj was the one who got the clue. Candace chats up Erinn about booting Coach early. Later, Coach openly talks about sticking to the original plan of voting off Sierra first. Then, he privately tells Sierra that he is organizing a move to boot Candace. Despite hearing this, Sierra is still worried. But Candace is confident that she's safe.
At Tribal Council, Jeff begins with the Day One vote against Sierra. She is still concerned about the impression she first gave her tribe. Others talk about why they voted for her, namely that she seemed like she didn't want to be there. I'm not sure I'd want to be in the back of an old truck riding with these people like some migrant worker. LOL! Candace thinks she's doing fine with her social game. Brendan thought Exile Dune was cool. Jerry and Debbie seem more trusting. Erinn trusts no one. It's time to vote. Candace votes for Sierra and the rest blindside Candace and give her the boot! Jeff seemed pleased. LOL!
SPOILERS: Both tribes struggle in a challenge which appears to have to do with carrying big baskets of grain or something. Taj makes a secret alliance. Or should I say, ANOTHER secret alliance. LOL!
