Night 6 at Camp Timbira finds Sierra breathing easier that she wasn't booted. She joined with the rest to blindside Candace. Erinn is concerned that the others may think she was too chummy with Candace. So she tries to explain that she was only hanging out with her to find out where her head was at. Privately, Erinn feels vulnerable. Coach does not trust her at all.
Day 7 and Erinn tries to re-integrate herself into Timbira. Jerry is sick of eating beans. They are not going down well. His stomach is messed up. At Jalapao Beach, the gang takes a try at fishing using the big throw net. They fail to catch anything other than a couple minnows. JT decides to use them as bait and fishes with Stephen using poles and tackle. They catch some decent sized fish. Jalapao feasts well on them.
Good time to have some protein because it's Reward Challenge time! Each tribe will have six players blindofolded, harnessed in pairs. They must first make their way through a maze to gather three buckets per tribe. Then fill the buckets with water to bring back through the maze to a lever device. Once full, the device will raise a flag. Then, each tribe must repeat the process fetching corn to raise a second flag.
The prize for the day is a tarp plus blankets and other camp comfort items. The winning tribe will also send a victim from the losing tribe to Exile. The caller-guide for Jalapao is Joe, with Debra doing same for Timbira. Jalapao makes good progress and gets their buckets first. Timbira is having lots of trouble and rapidly falls way behind. Jalapao raises the water flag first, then goes for the corn. They win before Timbira raises any flag. Jalapao again selects Brendan to be exiled. He, again, chooses to take Taj with him. This raises an eyebrow or two.
Timbira sulks back to camp. Coach is frustrated and embarrassed. Debra feels bad and blames herself for the loss. But Coach defends her and tries to rally the troops. He later chats with Tyson about booting Erinn next. Tyson is all for it and wants to be the Assistant Coach. LOL!
Jalapao sets up their tarp over their shelter and just in time. It starts to rain very hard. Back at Timbira, the gang gets soaked. Over at Exile Sand Dune, Brendan and Taj again must each choose an urn. This time, Taj gets the clue, but she shares the info with Brendan. The clue says that the hidden immunity idol is surrounded by wood. Brendan thinks it may be at the tree-mail site. They later plot to send Stephen and Sierra to exile next time and form a secret 4-way alliance with them. Very clever!
Day 9 (don't ask me what happened to Day 8, maybe it was called on a count of rain?) and things are just peachy at Jalapao. They are fed and strong and looking to dominate. Immunity Challenge time! Each tribe will take turns sending out two from each to roll one of six large crates back to a raised platform. Once all six crates are rolled, they must work together to assemble a staircase to the platform. The crates must spell each tribe's name. Once the staircase is built, the first tribe to get all of their members to the top wins.
The race begins somewhat even. Then Timbira builds a small lead. But it does not last long. Once the assembling begins, Timbira continues to be dis-functional. Erinn tries to get them on the right track but nobody listens to her. Jalapao quickly gets theirs built and wins by a nose! Jerry, who got banged earlier while rolling his crate, nearly collapses. He's hurting and exclaims he's through. Jerry's still sick and now worried about Tribal Council.
Back at camp, Jerry nearly collapses again. He's really exhausted, but is determined not to quit. The others wash up in the river while he rests. They chat about how bad Jerry looks. Erinn is gleeful that he seems to be the natural choice for booting off. Coach does not appreciate her happy smile over Jerry's suffering and talks with Tyson about booting her instead. Coach then chats with Sierra and Debra about Erinn. But Sierra is more concerned about keeping a strong player in The Game. HUH??? What a difference a few days make. LOL!
Tyson talks with Jerry about the plan to boot Erinn. He's all for it and pro- mises to act healthier. Meanwhile, Brendan hunts for the idol near the tree-mail site. He peeks under a grass skirt of a wooden statue and finds the idol within. The others have some beans for dinner but Jerry still isn't eating any. This makes Erinn smile more! Tyson is looking forward to blindsiding somebody again tonight! Nice guy!
At Tribal Council, Jeff begins with how the momentum has shifted and how Jalapao tribe has now won three challenges in a row. Tyson thinks they got too complacent after their initial win and figures that they will bounce back soon. Erinn is frustrated that nobody listened to her during the IC. Jeff acknowledges that she was right in how the crates should have been arranged. But Brendan still thinks their tribe is communicating well. Jerry says the tribe needs a designated leader and thinks Brendan should be the one. Coach pipes in that he thinks he's best qualified for being leader. Erinn disagrees and seconds Brendan. She adds that Coach is passive- aggressive. Coach tries to defend his skills. Jerry says that tonight's vote will be to eliminate the weakest player. It's time to vote. Jerry votes for Erinn, and the rest boot him. It's too bad but he really doesn't look well at all. My guess is he drank some bad water.
SPOILERS: Sidney flirts with the men at Jalapao. Timbira tribe gets kooky. Taj plots the biggest upset in Survivor history! Good Luck!
