COMMENTARY:
Vee The Ruthless!
by
Andy Zarowny

As you all know, I had hoped Kathy would win.  But, I also conceded
that she lacked the ruthlessness of a Richard Hatch.  Her political
strategy and skills were awful.  She flew high and loud on plenty of
radars.  Every move was a game-turn late.

On the other-hand, Vecepia was the best at politics.  She flew low and
quiet, rarely being detected.  Vee made the right moves at the right
time.  She was ruthlessly nimble, ready to turn on a dime in order to
advance in The Game.

And yes, she did play The Game with very good ethics.  Each lie and
betrayal was in the context of The Game.  She never got personal, nor
vindictive.  And yes, too, John and Tammy, Vee will be forgiven when
she asks for it.  Read Galatians.  Sins of the flesh, and this case being
very materialistic in nature certainly qualifies as a sin of the flesh, were
forgiven when Christ died on the cross.

All that being said, Vee deserves all the kudos for her gamesmanship,
or should I say, gameswomanship.  She played her cards well, except,
perhaps, the race card to Kathy on Day 34.  Kathy seemed to have been
leaning towards Vee and Sean anyway at that moment.  She wanted
Paschal out, and had Sean and Vee agreed instead of insisting on get-
ting rid of Neleh first, they probably would've had an alliance.  Kathy
becamed confused when the card was played, especially after
Paschal casted doubts to her.  It's probably the main reason she de-
cided to play it safe and side with Paschal and Neleh in booting Sean.

As for the rest of Vee's moves, they were all well-timed and properly
executed.  Setting up Hunter was her first, best move.  Then, siding
with the Core of Four for two votes, and for generally distancing herself
from Sean and Boston Rob was her next manuever.  Rebounding back
to form the Fair-Five, she stuck it to the Core of Four, in just the right
order.

Especially in voting off Zoe after John.  Had they voted off Robert in-
stead, Zoe may have been able to persuade Kathy, Neleh, and Paschal
that she should be forgiven and convince them to then vote off Sean
and Vee soon.  But Zoe went, and with Tammy and Robert left to cause
friction, the Fair-Five held together well and served it's purpose.

Vee's last two moves were excellent.  First, in siding with Kathy and
the resulting tie got Paschal picked off.  And then, finally, switching
sides once more to Neleh and giving Kathy the boot.  It was brilliant!
A truly ruthless seizing of opportunity.  Now that she's won a million
dollars, she intends to give her tighes and offerings, so Vecepia has
practiced the right ethics.  The Game is over and it's back to being
a kind and honest person.  I'm sure she'll do well.
