"Survivor Review" is a private fan site and is no way affiliated with CBS or Mark Burnett Productions.  Many of the pictures and graphics are taken from the official CBS "Survivor: Pearl islands" website, as well as other sites, such as "CBS Early Show".  This site's intent is not to infringe on any copyrighted or trademarked material, only to review and speculate on a TV series which has captured our imaginations.

As we last left our merry band of contestants, Drake had voted off Shawn
and Morgan saw Osten quit.  As Night 19 rolls on, we rejoin the second part
of Episode 7 with the Tribal Council of the Outcasts.  Jeff comments on how
happy they all look, since this Tribal Council is unusual in that two people
will be voted back in to The Game.  Michelle says she nearly wet her pants
when she learned of being able to return.  The others were less graphic, but
equally pleased.  Jeff has each explain why they should be voted back in.

Nicole says that she is tough and opinionated and ready to cause trouble.
Michelle wants revenge and since she is the sweetest and youngest girl, it
will be ironic.  Hahaha!  Lil wants to prove herself.  Trish says that she is the
most focused.  RyanO loves The Game the most.  Burton vows to play hard
and fair and will never, ever, tell a lie.  Jeff tells each to vote separately for
two people, and that they cannot vote for themselves.  Trish and Michelle
each get one vote, Nicole and RyanS each get two votes, and Lil and Burton
each get three votes.  Lil and Burton return!  The others must leave again
for good this time.  Then Jeff has Lil and Burton draw blindly for buffs.  Lil
goes first and draws a Morgan buff.  She is sad.  Burton gets the remaining
Drake buff.  They are to return to their original tribes.

The scene shifts now to Drake Island.  It's a stormy night, lightning is crack-
ling the sky.  Sandra is still worried about who will be returning.  She hopes
it is either Lil or RyanS.  Burton scares her.  Maybe she thinks he will stab
them all in the night?  Uncle Cameraman follows Burton as he marches up
the beach.  What great camera shots we have of Burton with lightning arcing
across the night sky.  Burton arrives and is greeted by all.  They have food
for him warming in the pot.  They all apologize for booting him out and he
reciprocates with one of his own.  It's a happy reunion.

Over at Morgan, they are all wet, hungry, and generally dismal.  Andrew
does a good Brando/Kurtz from "Apocalypse Now" impersonation, uninten-
tionally.  He looks crazed and demented.  Lil returns and the reunion is
somewhere between awkward and impolite.  No party here.

Day 20 has Rupert and Burton waking early and wandering off for a private
chat.  Rupert tells Burton why he was not pleased with him.  Rupert says
that he did not appreciate Burton's wise-cracks and jock-ish humor.  This
causes Burton to apologize personally to Rupert and claims that he wished
Rupert had told him how annoying he was earlier.  The subject of game
strategy then comes up.  Rupert explains in plain English that Jon is the
next to go, and if Burton cooperates, the others will keep him through till
the Final Four.  Burton agrees and the two men bond respectably.

Over at Camp Morgan, it's much different.  Lil wakes early and picks up
where she left off.  Namely, doing all the work.  The rest of the Morgans are
lazy and listless.  They have no stamina.  When Andrew does awake, he
talks with Lil and explains how disappointed he is.  Here he rallied his tribe
to victory and evened The Game against the Drakes.  And now, all his hard
work is ruined by Lil's return.  The Uberman is gone.  The Thousand Year
Reich gone.  What next?  Lil does not look happy with what she is hearing.

Day 21 and the Drakes are eating lemons.  Burton enjoys the last lemon and
Rupert and Christa decide they should go get more.  After all, food is not an
issue for the Drakes.  Jon looks uncomfortable being left alone with Sandra.
As they walk, Christa reinforces Burton with The Plan to stick together and
ditch Jon next, if Burton behaves himself and truly atones for his past.  Over
at Camp Morgan, they consume the last of their rice.  Food is a big problem.
Tijuana wonders how starvation will effect them.

Immunity Challenge Time!  Both tribes gather on their separate colored mats
before Jeff.  He inquires on the food situation.  The Drakes are doing fine.
They have plenty of rice, corn, beans, and ate about 15 pounds of fish yes-
terday.  Der Fuhrer tells Jeff how dire the food crisis is at Morgan.  They are
down to scavenging mollusks and coconuts.  Jeff then drops the bomb on
them all.  THE MERGE.  He tosses them black buffs.  They are now one tribe
and today's challenge is for individual immunity, the symbol of which is a
thick belt with cutlass and pistol.

The challenge itself is Keel-Hauling.  Two round of five players must swim
under a long platform, pulling themselves with rope.  Once they arrive at
the end, they are to dash across the platform and do a second lap.  Two
best from each round go on to compete in a Final round, this time five laps
plus the task of moving gold coins from one end to the other.  Heat One
is won by Rupert, who dominates, and Jon.  Burton and RyanO win Heat
Two.  The Final Round has Rupert building an early lead, with Burton and
RyanO close behind.  Jon does well for the first two laps but by the third, he
is exhausted.  Burton catches up with Rupert on the fourth lap.  Rupert is
still in the lead as he heads into the final stretch but has trouble racing
across the platform the last time.  Burton makes a mad dash and manages
to eek-out a victory.  Jeff explains that since Burton (and Lil), already have
immunity this next Tribal Council, he may choose to give it to someone else
or deny the others of it and make them all vulnerable.  Jeff also tells them
that since Drake Island is better off, they shall all live there and a feast is
awaiting them.

Rupert is happy with the new tribe's name, Balboa.  He also likes having
more folks around.  Tijuana is happy, too, and has high hopes that they
will all function as a single tribe.  Andrew is happy to eat food.  Ribs, lamb,
bread, wine, and cheese and spread out on the beach.  Everyone chows
down.  Then the politics begin.  The ex-Morgans cluster and decide to target
Jon.  He is the most annoying ex-Drake and Andrew hopes that the others
will go along to dump him.  Lil then tells Jon what is up.  Jon tells Rupert
and the other ex-Drakes what Lil said and how she is unhappy with her old
tribe.  Burton then makes the pitch to Lil, letting her know that she is the
only one of the Morgans the Drakes want to adopt.  Furthermore, Burton
pledges to take her to the finish.  Andrew notices Lil chatting with Burton,
so he goes over and talks with her.  He tries to convince her to stick with
them and vote against Jon.  Lil reminds Andrew how he and the rest betray-
ed her.  Dum-De-Dum-Dum!

Tribal Council was dull at first.  Everybody talked about how wonderful The
Merge was and how great the new arrangement is.  Jeff then turns his focus
on Burton and again explains Individual Immunity and the special circum-
stance of this week, with Burton and Lil getting a free ride.  Burton decides
to give Rupert protection and hands the prize to him.  Rupert looks good
wearing the cutlass.  It's time to vote.  The vote is along party-lines.  The
ex-Morgans vote for Jon, the Drakes vote for Andrew.  Lil is the swing vote
and boots Andrew.  Der Fuhrer is gone!  Long Live Freedom!

SPOILERS:  The new tribe goes through a shake-down period with possible
new alliances forming.  The girls talk about dumping the men, while Jon
tries to convince Burton to ditch the Mighty Rupert.
