"Survivor Review" is a private fan site and is no way affiliated with CBS or Mark Burnett Productions.  Many of the pictures and graphics are taken from the official CBS "Survivor: Pearl Islands" website, as well as other sites, such as "CBS Early Show".  This site's intent is not to infringe on any copyrighted or trademarked material, only to review and speculate on a TV series which has captured our imaginations.

Day 25 and Lex is happy.  He thinks that by betraying Jerri and keep-
ing Amber as a favor to his pal (in real life), Rob, that he will be pro-
tected and make it to the Final Four.  Lex is very confident.  After all,
what are best friends for?  But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Over at Mogo Mogo, Rob is bumming.  He does not know what hap-
penned, if Amber is gone.  Everyone notices Rob's state.  Tom says
that Rob is acting like a calf who being weened.  It takes three days
for the calf to get over it.  Tom figures it'll be the same for Rob.  It
takes much less, for Alicia cuts a deal with Rob, they won't write each
other's names down.  This makes Rob chipper, for he now has alli-
ances with everyone on his team now.

Tree-mail arrives and announces the Reward Challenge.  Rob is an-
xious as they gather and Jeff calls Chapera in.  Amber is still in The
Game!  Rob beams!  The romance continues!  Reward is individual
this time.  The first part involves several heats to fetch pots under-
water.  There are always two less pots than players.  The final three
then go on to Part Two, a race to carry a heavy chest submerged.
First to cross the finish line wins a day away at a resort, plus the
winner may take two others from either tribe.  We've seen this one
before and the final three are Rob, Lex, and Rupert.  Rupert easily
wins and chooses Amber and Jenna to spend the day and a night at
the resort.  Jeff signals a helicopter to whisk them away immediately.
Rob looks pleased that Rupert picked Amber, though I'm sure he
wanted to go along, too.

Rupert and the girls arrive and have fun.  There are clean clothes, a
shower, soaps, lotions, the new Crest ® Moto-Brush and flavored
toothpastes.  There is also make-up!  Amber tells Rupert that she and
Jenna are going to get all dolled up for him.  The gang takes turns in
the shower, then partakes in massages (from professionals).  Then
comes dinner for three.  The girls did look good and Rupert was very
pleased.  They discuss strategy, though Amber was uncomfortable,
since she had made deals with Lex and Kathy to join her and Rob in
the Final Five with Big Tom.  Hmmm!

Day 26 and all are summoned to the old Saboga Beach.  Rupert and
the girls arrive in style, choppered in.  Rob checks out Amber, still
wearing make-up and with clean hair.  Jeff razzes her about her pol-
ished toenails.  Jeff then tells everyone to ditch their tribal buffs.  New
ones are issued, all one color, blue.  It's The Merge!  Saboga Beach
will be their new home.  The shelter, if one could call it that, has long
since been destroyed by the elements.  But the pots and other items
are still around.  Jeff also gives them a tarp, two Hawiian slings, and
stuff to make their new tribal flag.

After the hugging and such, the gang get down to business.  Amber
and Alicia come up with a name for the tribe, but Rob prefers Chaboga
Mogo, because it sounds like a goofy dance.  Immediately, Lex walks
off with Rob to discuss alliances.  Rob says he'll do what he can, but
confesses to the camera that he has no intention of protecting Lex.
He then tells Amber that Lex must go first.  She isn't too happy, but
goes along with Rob.  Privately, she tells the camera that her head is
spinning from all the alliances and deals.

Immunity Challenge time!  It's individual and they gang learns of the
new twist, there are two immunity necklaces!  Psuedo-Skygod, Mark
Burnett, has decreed that one woman and one man shall each have
immunity.  The first part is a simple test of staying underwater.  The
two men and two women hold can hold their breathes longest move
on to the second part.  Interestingly enough, Rupert was the first man
out of the water.  Even before Tom!  Hmmm, could Rupert/Aqua Boy
have thrown the challenge???  The two pairs of finalists are Lex and
Rob and Kathy and Amber.  The ladies go first.

Part 2 is a race to release bouys anchored to a ladder underwater.  10
in all must be untied to win.  Amber built a small lead but Kathy had
managed to catch up and win.  On the last bouy, Jeff chides Amber
for not trying hard enough.  Hmmm?  Could Amber have thrown it?
Rob and Lex aren't throwing anything.  These two battle it out to the
bitter end.  Rob wins!

Day 27 finds Lex and Kathy pondering why nobody is making them
feel safe or comfortable?  They suspect that Rob is going to screw
them.  They are right!  Rob tells Lex he can't protect him.  It would
mean betraying his promises to the rest of his original tribe.  Lex is
furious!  He gives Rob what-for!  Kathy is in tears.  After Rob walks
away, she tells Lex she doesn't want to stay any longer and will give
him her immunity.

Tribal Council begins that evening and so does a rain storm.  Lex
complains about the atmosphere and old tribal alliances.  Rob gives
a standard mono-toned apology which is worth about five cents, if
that.  It's time to vote.  Kathy changes her mind and does not give Lex
her immunity.   Lex and Kathy vote to boot Amber, the rest, including
Shii Ann (!!!), vote off Lex.  Wow!  Lex becomes Juror #1.

SPOILERS:  Kathy and Shii Ann talk with Tom about booting Jenna.
Jenna and Rupert see them and join the conversation, thinking they
are plotting against Rob and Amber.  Rob tells Uncle Cameraman that
everyone is scrambling for postion.
