I'm not going to deal with the beginning recap, since we've been there
already.

Night 36 finds the Gang of Four hanging out around the fire at camp.
They talk about Tom's boot and the glare he gave towards them.  Rob
says that the glare was centered at him.  Oh how true!  Tom was as
P-O'd as one could be.  Rupert heads off to fetch some water, Amber
and Rob spell out to Jenna her options.  Romber will not vote against
each other.  Either there will be a tie vote, with a potential 'purple
rock' drawing to choose a boot, or Jenna can join with Romber and
vote off Rupert next.  Jenna can't believe how she made it to the Final
Four.  Can she make it to the Final Three?

Day 37 and Jeff arrives with breakfast.  Bacon, eggs, pancake mix,
oranges, strawberries, OJ and champagne.  Their picnic basket also
has an instant camera and a scrapbook for the gang to put together a
memorial.  They drink up and chow down, toasting their good fortune.
Jenna goes for water and Amber tags along to work on her.  Not to do
any work, mind you.  They discuss the 'purple rock' scenario again.
Jenna agrees that the smart move is for her to betray Rupert.

The first Immunity Challenge of the show is a Maze-Race.  Eight sta-
tions, each with colored sections of a ladder must be collected and
assembled.  First to assemble their ladder and climb a top of the cen-
ter tower wins.  The paths of the maze have various obstacles, which
are repeated to confuse players.  The race is a close one for the first
five rungs with only a narrow lead by Romber.  But then Rob gets lost
and makes some mistakes.  By the time he recovers, Amber is out in
front with Rupert right behind her.  Amber gets her last piece and pro-
ceeds to attach her ladder rungs to the tower before anybody else ar-
rives.  Rupert was just approaching the center when Amber scaled to
the top and won immunity.  Rob was very happy.  Rupert and Jenna
were not.

While Amber and Rob putz around at camp, Jenna and Rupert have a
chat.  Jenna tells the Big Guy about Romber's offer to her last night.
She says that she doesn't want to betray him.  Rupert supports both
voting for Rob and forcing the purple rock.  It's a one-in-three chance,
but it's their only chance at beating Romber.  Back at camp, Rob asks
Jenna what decision she has made.  Jenna hasn't decided yet.  Rob
is peeved, but gives Jenna some space.  He and Amber go for what
may be their last walk on the beach together.

It's time for a Tribal Council.  Jeff asks the gang if they noticed the
Jury's reaction to Tom being voted off?  They certainly did.  Amber
then recalls when she was blindsided in Australia, and how she even-
tually voted FOR the person who betrayed her to win the grand prize.
She admired Tina's game-play.  Rupert says he's worried about being
voted off tonight.  Jenna then tells Jeff all about her personal conflict
on what to do.  The purple rock is mentioned again.  It's time to vote.
Jenna only made up her mind while voting.  Rupert was booted 3-1,
with Rupert casting a vote against Rob.  Rupert hugs everyone and
wishes them well as he walks off.  In the confessional, he is upset at
Jenna's choice, but overall happy with his experiences.

VERY early morning of Day 38 and Father Rob absolves Jenna of her
sin of voting off Rupert.  She really needed that.  Jeff arrives before
dawn with the final instructions.  The day starts with canoeing to a far
beach where they will find body paints, jewelry, and trimmings of the
local Kuna Tribe.  The Threesome arrive and have fun decorating
themselves.  Next comes the obligatory Memory Walk past all the
torches of The Fallen Comrades.  We are treated to flashbacks of each
and comments by Romber and Jenna.  The only one they had any-
thing nice to say about was Rupert.  Amber is feeling bittersweet on
the walk, and is nervous about what awaits her.  This is probably our
first official clue that Amber is going to win The Game, though some
have argued that the silhouette at the end of the opening sequence
was her all along.

The Final Immunity Challenge is the Idol Endurance event.  In a pool
of water, the idol rests on top a post.  Three sets of un-even posts
serve as foot-stands for the contestants.  They must keep both feet
in contact with the foot posts, and one hand on the idol to remain in
The Game.  Take a foot off, or touch the idol or it's post with their
second hand spells doom.  After an hour, Jenna is complaining of
cramps and discomfort.  After about two hours, she shifts one foot
and Jeff declares that it was off the post.  She argues, but the ruling
stands.   Romber then discuss allowing the other to win.  Amber says
that Rob has won immunity "a million times".  She also claims that
they discussed this before and it was agreed that one would bail out.
Rob has short-term memory-loss on this.  He argues that they've
played to win all along, and this last immunity is no different.  If she
wants to win, she'll have to actually beat him.  It's 108° with a blister-
ing sun.  Another hour goes by, and Amber lost her focus for a few
seconds while shifting her weight and touches the idol with her other
hand.  Jeff declares Rob the winner.

Back at camp, Jenna is bumming.  She knows the score.  She just lost
a million dollars.  There's no doubt in her mind that Rob is taking
Amber to the Finals and thinks that Amber will win.  What a boyfriend
Rob is!  He's handing his gal a million bucks!  Amber is not so sure.
She knows how Rob acts.  As they walk in the jungle, Amber asks him
what he's doing.  Rob is surprised at the question.  He tells Amber to
check the attitude at the door.  She has nothing to worry about.  Off
by himself, Rob does wonder what to do.  He doesn't think he has
much chance against either Jenna or Amber.  But to not take Amber
would have additional ramifications.  He'd look like a REAL JERK!
He's going to base his choice on what is best for himself.

At Tribal Council, Jenna moans about how she will be voted off.  She
does make one last pitch for Rob taking her.  Romber discuss their
battling it out during immunity.  When Rob says that even now there
is still some paranoia around, The Jury rolls their eyes.  Amber says
that she has always been in control of her emotions (and The Game).
Rob votes and Jenna is the last boot to join The Jury.  She hugs both
and walks off.  At the confessional, she said she's proud of how far
she made it and how she played.

The stage is now set for the last act of "The Romber Show".  To read
