Hangin'

A tiny shoe I saw today

In the middle of the road
Made me wonder 'bout the foot
That was now to be bare toed

I wonder how it ended up

There in the center roadway
Looking oh so lonely there
In Main Street USA

I wonder what the mother thought

When her childs' foot was bare
Or did she even notice that
The tiny shoe just was'nt there

It's sad to see a generation

Left alone to learn it all
Babies raising babies now
And always hangin' at the Mall
