Daffodils

Springtime and the daffodils
Each one in fluted splendor
The perfect petals delicate
A part of natures wonder

Each are standing tall and straight

Swaying gently with the breeze
First flowers to appear in spring
Refreshing to our eyes it please

As if pure sunlight has burst forth

Reflected in their colors
The daffodil is spring itself
More beautiful than all others
