Welcome to my cy-BAR!
This is for all those aspiring bartenders out there. It's a list of some of the more popular drinks, as well as some of the new fads, along with their recipes. The list will change from time to time, since there are sooooo many drinks out there.
If you have a drink recipe that you think needs to be on here, email me with the name and the recipe and I'll do my best to put it on here. So, enjoy! But remember, be responsible, and don't drink and drive. :)
A list of terms that might be useful, since I use them:
Built: a built drink, means it's made in a rocks glass, by simply pouring the alcohol over ice, and serving. The most common type of drink.
Blended: Kinda obvious, but I'll still tell you. All the ingredients are mixed in a blender. These are usually the tropical drinks, and they're usually served in a hurricane glass or something similar.
Shaken: This may sound obvious, but there's a little more to it. When making a shaken drink, you have to chill the glass you're going to pour it into. You can do this either by simply putting ice in it, then dumping it out when you go to pour, or by putting in the fridge or freezer. When you shake a drink, all the ingredients (incl. ice) goes into the metal shaker. Then, you strain it out into the already chilled glass.
1oz: One ounce is the equivalent to one shot glass full. You can figure out the rest of the measurements on your own. hehe
