A Tribute to Momma

Many years ago you brought a baby boy into this world. To your eyes he was a beautiful child.

One more to stand beside the other little gifts god had given you.

With pride and love you changed his diapers and wiped his nose.

You thrilled at his first words and wiped tears away when he took his first steps.

The years passed far to quickly to count their meaning.

You sent your little one off to school, and again had to dry the tears from your eyes.

You laughed at your little ones silly jokes, and with a mothers magic healed his skinned knees.

Time passed and your boy grew.

Soon he found hurts of heart and soul that your magic could not cure.

But you stood by him with a mother’s strength and calm.

No you didn’t have all the answers, but you had a big heart and stood by his side.

Somehow that was enough.

Your son grew, gone now is the little boy, in his place stands a man.

He looks back over the years remembering hurts, hopes, and fears.

Yet one thing shines through the curtain of the past, it’s knowing his momma always loved him.

So now I say knowing it will never be enough,

and somehow just right.

Momma I Love You!

Love

Aaron

This piece was written in tribute to my loving mother. She has seen me through so many trials, has patched up so many skinned knees, that I owe her more than I'll ever be able to repay. Remember your mother each day for she is one of gods greatest gifts.
