One Halloween Night
Down a forest path darkly lit.
I chanced to wander, but only for a bit.
when from the woods dark and gloomy
came a piercing cry that cut right through me.
Suddenly within the shadows appeared a pair of eyes redly glowing.
With this I thought, I really must be going.
So back the way I came I did sprint.
What manner of demon followed me I had no hint.
Into a moon lit clearning I did run.
My safety I thought I'd won.
When suddenly they appeared.
Ghouls and goblins from my darkest fears.
Slowly they surrounded me...
I screamed, please leave me be!
Then to my surprise a strange sound filled the air.
Laughter! From here and over there!!
Of a sudden the spectars began to dance and chant.
