Why did the magic die?
Because truth faded and was replaced with lies.
Because it became unsafe to laugh.
You never knew when you tread upon someone elses path.

Why did the magic die?
Because hate came to this place.
You... hated me. Because of my name.
I hated you. Because of your way.

Why did the magic die?
Because "I" became more important the "we".

Why did the magic die?
Because it was "his" fault not "mine".

So if you want the magic back, start forgiving.
Forgive yourself first. Because that's where it starts.

How do we give the magic life?
"we" not "I"

This poem was written after a favorite group of mine experianced a great deal of bickering and finger pointing. I hoped to remind everyone of the importance of behaving as a group. Rather than a collection of individuals.
