PATRICK NATHON


Patrick Nathon was born April 2, 1941 in Saginaw. As a youngster, his uncle taught him the chords on the guitar. He joined the Army in 1958-1959 and was sent to Germany where in the Spear Head Division he met Elvis Presley. He learned to play the guitar like Elvis in a rock style. Eventually he took up the country music style and played with the Michigan Hayride. The name of his band was the "Country Starlighters". Patrick was killed in an automobile accident on July 4, 1969.

Patrick Nathan was inducted into the Michigan Country Music Hall of Fame November 7, 1976.
