Imagine a world , it is a New World . A huge newly from globe of primordial magic. This World has a new civilization, The Sumarrians. They achieved great things in their time on this planet. They discovered methods of making a man immortal. They also discovered that our world was one of many in a multiverse.
The two powerful priests Bel-halmut, and Meyrealyn controlled the flow of magic. They had granted themselves the power of immortality. They , along with the other priests , experimented with magic and achieved much.
Until it came. No one knows what "it was" but it was a being powerful enough to destroy the new civilization and wipe the slate clean. Only by trapping Meyrealyn out side of this world with the creature could our world be saved.
The remaining priests , tapped the worlds energy and formed a wall around our world , making it impenetrable from the outside. No more intruders would ravage the land. But it would forever trap the immortal Meyrealyn outside of the world. Bel-halmut and the priest would destroy the remaining bits of the magic they had learned...most of it.
Travel to Egypt, and a powerful Pharaoh known as Dsioser. He would order a priest to construct a temple that the gods would honor. Iemhotep would obey.
Now with the closing of the world , magic would not die .Iemhotep had a powerful tabled passed down from generation, On it a spell that would call creatures of other worldly origin into this world, in fact a relic of the Sumarrians.
He would use this spell, and along with the Geometric aligning of the pyramid and the stars, cause the end of the world. He opened a hole in the barrier, and 2 entities entered our world. One an outcast from another world. It was a purely evil being , a being that feeds of fear and terror, and grows powerful. The other an old wizard, seemingly human who was in fact the lost Meyrealyn.
The evil being would be named Ackla meckla , or The RED DEATH. Its powers in our world would grow , feeding of human fear. It would corrupt evil beings and grant them power. It would corrupt the very flow of magic making it very dangerous to use.
Time would pass. The daemon and legends of the past are real. Every myth , legend , monster and boogieman is real. The creature under a child's bed , would be there, to feed of the child's fear. Werewolf, vampires, and unimaginable terrors, twisted creations of the RED DEATH.
Most people don't even know what's going on around them. But they will learn. In time all will learn. Bram Stoker, a current journalist is a member of an order that "takes care of such things." Even my own brother has had experiences. It is getting worse, and I fear that as the turn of the century comes, Only Duncan Bismark McCrabe , Xavier Zachariah, and the Legacy will stand in the way of the RED DEATH.
