Imperfect Perfection
by Terri Mooney
Everything was perfect,
I loved you,
And you lusted for me,
I over-estimated you,
And you under-estimated me,
We discovered how we felt about one another,
I discovered what you wanted didn't seem so bad,
You discovered that what I wanted was horrible,
I try to talk to you,
You ignore,
I try to give you what you want,
You don't seem to want it anymore,
Now my insides are aching from heartbreak,
Now you pretend you don't know me,
How could you leave my life in such dissaray?,
Can't you see?,
Everything was perfect,
And you were everything.
