Alicia Christian Foster

Jodie Foster was born on November 19, 1962, in Los Angeles, California. Her given name was Alicia Christian Foster. Evelyn (Brandy) Foster was her mother, and Lucius Foster III was her father who left the family when Mrs. Foster was a few months pregnant with Jodie. Jodie also has two sisters and a brother. One of her sisters, Lucinda, was born is 1952. The other, Constance (Connie) was born in 1955. Her brother, Lucius IV (Buddy) was born in 1957.

Jodie was a brilliant child right from the start. She was reading at three years old. She was also three years old when she did her first commercial which was for Coppertone. At age four, she did a Crest commercial and then starting acting in Disney movies. When she was eight years old, she was mauled by a 550 pound lion while doing "Napolean and Samantha."

She was fluent in French by age fourteen and graduated valedictorian of her senior class. Jodie then went on to Yale University and got a degree in English.

Jodie has done many movies and has portrayed many different characters. During the 70's, she did the voice for Puggsley Addams in the Addams Family cartoon series. In the 1973 ABC After School Special, "Rookie of the Year", Jodie played a young girl who played Little League Baseball, which was mainly a boy's sport. In "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" (1974), she played a tomboy daughter. In "Taxi Driver" (1976), she played a 13 year old prostitute. In 1987, she played the victim of an attempted rape in "Five Corners" and then went on to play a rape survivor in "The Accused" (1988). She also did "Silence of the Lambs" and "Contact". This is not a complete list.

In March of 1981, John Hinkley Jr. said that his assassination attempt of President Reagan was to try to impress Jodie.

Jodie Foster is my favorite actress. She is very talented and educated.
