Episode Summary:
Caitlin gets more of her photos published in Tremor, a newspaper
that is attempting to shake up the way people think. Griffen, however, is
jealous and he tears the pages that contain Caitlin's photos. Meanwhile,
Griffen is looking for ways to get more hits on his web site. He comes up
with an idea of using his web site to show himself repelling off a cliff called
Devil's Face. Caitlin goes along to record it on a digital camera. However,
Caitlin and Griffen get into a major argument. Caitlin walks away and tells
Griffen to record himself. Things go very wrong after Griffen goes solo.
The log that he ties his line to breaks and he is left hanging for his life.
He calls out for help. Caitlin returns and throws Griffen another line.
She helps him climb to safety. Griffen and Caitlin then work out their
differences and admit how much they really care about each other.
Episode Highlights:
1. After Griffen climbs up the cliff and is finally safe, Caitlin asks
with genuine concern, "Are you okay?" Griffen replies, "Yeah." Then Caitlin
suddenly hits him and shouts, "What is wrong with you? Why didn't you use
the safety line?" Griffen seems confused and asks, "Why are you hitting me?"
Caitlin responds, "I thought you were going to die! And you'd die thinking
that I hated you!"
2. Griffen tells Caitlin what was going through his mind when he was
hanging for his life: "I kept thinking of how I never told mom and dad I
loved them. I thought about how I said we were glad you didn't let us adopt
you. And if I died, you'd think that's the way I really feel. But I don't.
You're closer to me than anyone else." Caitlin asks, "Then why did you
rip my photos?" Griffen says, "I was jealous. They like you better." Caitlin
responds, "Dori and Jim? They do not like me better. I mean, when they're
not yelling at me they're grounding me." Griffen says, "But they love you."
Caitlin says, "Well, yeah, but ... I mean, think about it Griffen. You're
their son. I mean, they have so much love for you that even though they
give some to me, there is always plenty left."
3. Griffen admits that he doesn't always like sharing his parents with
Caitlin. Caitlin asks, "Are you sorry that I came here?" Griffen responds,
"If you hadn't come, I'd have them all to myself. None of my CD's would be
missing. But, until you came I didn't realize how lonely I was." They give
each other a hug.
