Brief history:
Steve Rogers is a one-of-a-kind hero. He had humble beginnings. Back in the 1940's, the U.S. government chose Steve as their test subject for the Super-Soldier project. Given a serum, Steve went from being a near-crippled to being a person at peak physical conditioning. Unfortunately, the scientist who developed the serum was assassinated by a Nazi spy. The scientist had all formula memorized and not written down, so it was lost forever. Steve ended up being the only one to of his kind. As Captain America, he led many battles in W.W.II, including Iwo Jima. Shortly after the Nazis were defeated, Captain was presumed dead. In fact, he was actually frozen in an iceberg (don't as me how cause I don't know). Many decades past before he was thawed out in an unfamiliar future. As time passed, Steve adapted to this new time. He became a free-lance comic book artist for personal reasons, like living a life. Eventually, he joined the Avengers and became their unofficial "leader". He also joined S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate), but not as a spy. He does, however, have top clearance to anything the government has. He has recently lost his indistructable shield when a vibranium "cancer" destroyed it. He used his original shield for a while until he recieved an energy shield that did everything his old one could do, but only for defense. After a short time, he got his original shield back when Klaw refocused the Vibranium cancer sound wave and hit the shield. The wave rebuilt the molecules inside and the shield was restored. As for his love life, he had a thing going with Sharon Carter, but they are seperated. He has recently started dating Connie Ferrari, a lovely defense attorny.
