Brief History:
John Stewart was once a man with great anger on his soul. When the Guardians of the Universe picked him as Hal Jordan's alternate as Green Lantern, Hal helped teach John to deal with the anger. When John became a full pledged Green Lantern, he was to become the apprentice of Katma Tui (Green Lantern of Korugar/Sector 1417). Together, they had been through many adventures. Eventually, they fell in love and got married. When an insane Guardian snatched cities from various planets (including one from Earth), the rest of the Guardians appointed John to be the Green Lantern of this "Mosaic". Sometime later, Star Sapphire came after Hal Jordan to kill him. Katma Tui got involved and was brutally murdered by Star Sapphire. This enraged John, but he still continued his job on Oa (base of the GLC). John was also involved with the final defeat of Star Sapphire when the corps liberated Carol Ferris from the the evil entity. When the Guardians disbanded the GLC for a while, John still wished to do good. So he went to the Darkstars, run by the Controllers. With the Darkstars, he met Merayn Dethalis of the planet Golga. They worked together when they fell in love. They are still together to this day. While defending the planet Rann, John's spinal cord was severed and he was rendered crippled. The doctors said he'd never walk again. That is until Parallax (Hal Jordan under a different name) showed up and used his power to restore John's ability to walk. Unknown to both Parallax and John, the restoration also gave John powers similar to Parallax. John was also an accomplished achitect and started his own firm, "Shininglight Achitecture". When the Green Lantern hunter named Fatality came after John to avenge the destruction of her homeworld, which was his fault, he used every ounce of his power to stop her. At the moment, Fatality is believed to be dead. Unfortunately, since he used up the power, he once again became crippled. To this day, John is permanantly bound to a wheelchair. However, he lives happily running his firm and living with his love Merayn.
