HOME IMPROVEMENT FINALE SONGS
The series finale of "Home Improvement" contained a bunch of good music for the show highlights and the final episode of "Tool Time." For the lyrics to Kenny Rogers' Emmy-nominated "We've Got It All" and "Burning Down the House" used in the last "Tool Time" episode, click here.
EMMY RECAP
"Home Improvement" only won one of the four awards it was nominated for at the 51st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. The only Emmy the show picked up was the award for "Outstanding Lighting Direction (Electronic) For a Comedy Series" category for "Mark's Big Break"--the episode in which Mark makes a "Greased Lightning" video for "Tool Time. This means "Home Improvement" has ended its eight-year run and never received the Emmy recognition it deserves. The win continues the show's long-running success in lighting categories. Other awards the series was nominated for..." "Love's Labor Lost Part 1" was nominated in the "Outstanding Sound Mixing For a Comedy Series or a Special" category. That was the episode in which Jill needed to have surgery. The series finale was nominated for two Emmys. Kenny Rogers' song written specifically for the finale, "We've Got It All", was nominated for "Outstanding Music and Lyrics." And "The Long and Winding Road Part 3" which was the conclusion of the finale was nominated for "Outstanding Technical Direction/Camera/Video For a Series."
